“3 Star Hotel?”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

This hotel lacks the necessary basics which one would expect in a three star hotel; free wifi and the necessary maintenance for the upkeep of rooms. Paint was peeling off the ceiling in both the rooms we booked and the furniture and shower doors were broken. To actually close the main door of the room you need to apply so much force that you would awaken the people in the surrounding rooms. The air condition was in no better condition; it was mended with tape and to actually control it you need to phone the receptionist downstairs since there is no remote control available for it! Despite this, the room was clean and the towels were changed daily.

The continental breakfast was quite good but the food starts running out almost immediately. Moreover, to get to the area where the breakfast is served you need to use two elevators one of which is ancient (you have to open a door to get inside) and tiny. Claustrophobics beware!

The majority of the staff are very nice and helpful however a particular receptionist who checked us in was quite rude.

Overall, this hotel requires a tremendous renovation as fast as possible. I am sure that there are two star hotels which are in better shape.

Stayed in this Hotel on 20th July for one night.

1.5 kms from Roma Termini.....long walk....the streets are not suitable for rolling luggage.

The nearest Metro is Manzoni......1 km.

The breakfast is very very basic.

The airconditioner on/off switch is with Reception.

No toiletories.

Furniture is very old style.

Room Tip: Only budget traveler should select.

The staff is very good and tries to solve every request that you have. The rooms are good compared to the price you pay. The location is very good only ten minutes from the Coloseum. Very close to the metro.

After a little confusion at the reception to check into our room, we were told to walk 100 metres down the road and check into hotel 0 ? A very nice lady showed us our room which was very clean and located at the front of the hotel. We stayed room only so can't comment on breakfast. The hotel is situated near the bus/train/tram termini so easy enough to walk to. The location itself is a little run down but didn't bother me. I suppose some people would be put off by this as there are a lot of run down cafés and bars so a lot of people hanging around. Maybe I wouldn't walk around there very late at night. We stayed there for 4 nights and if I was lucky enough to travel to Rome again, I would stay here again.

We were booked there as part of a tour and it was awful. Mold on the wall, years worth of soap scum and mold in the shower and on the shower curtain. It was NOT central to anything, crappy location but the desk staff told you it was walkable, it was not. Pay wifi is okay, but you should actually get the service once you pay for it. The beds are old and you roll out of them. I agree the breakfast was fine, a bright spot in an otherwise bad place.

It is confusing even to find this hotel. Reception is in a building and hotel in another building. The hotel has not elevator. The room is cold and dark (window-blinds can not be open-->room is dark all the day). There are not sufficient light bulbs in the room-->room is dark during evening. The receptacles for electricity do not work properly-you must move the connector till you can recharge your mobile-phone. Mechanisms of windows do not work properly. It is difficult to open and close the windows. They have not soap in the bathroom and supports for hygienic paper . They invite you to buy soap from the nearby shop. And all of these for 70 Euro/night !.
