“Love this Hotel”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

This hotel is great value in a great location. An easy walk to everything and has great restaurants nearby which came recommended by the hotel. It is very clean and I can't say enough about the wonderful staff ... they are pleasant and helpful. Everything about our stay was easy and exceeded our expectations. Will definately go back!

We knew the area in which we wanted to stay so we only looked for hotels near the Largo di Torre Argentina. We read the reviews of this hotel and thought it sounded very interesting. We were not put off by the price since most hotels in the area were expensive by 3 and 4 star standards. Our taxi driver had some problem finding the hotel because the numbers of the buildings on via di Torre change at the square (Large di Torre Argentina). The hotel is on the square, across from the ruins and next door to the Theater Argentina. The latter is the best address to use when looking for the hotel. Once we found it, we were not disappointed. We entered a lovely courtyard and in the back building, on the left, is the entrance and elevator to the hotel. As described, there are only 6 rooms in this hotel which was probably a former apartment. The decor is very stylish and the reception/lobby/dining area is very inviting. The staff is extremely helpful and the service was wonderful. Our room felt more like a real bedroom, but the only problem was that the bathroom was up a set of steep stairs. For anyone with mobility issues, this would have been a problem.

Breakfast was lovely: cereal, coissants, rolls, muffins, jams, etc. and all kinds of tea and coffee.
The dining area was very cosy and quiet.

The location was superb; we walked all over Rome from the hotel . . .even to the old city of Rome on the other side of the Tiber River. We took a bus only to the Vatican and was pleasantly surprised to find that the bus stop was outside the hotel. There are dozens and dozens of restaurants in the small streets around the hotel which means one never has to leave the area after a long day of touring.

Our only suggestion is that perhaps the hotel could add shelves in the closet or in the area outside the bathroom. If you are traveling with more than one piece of luggage, there is very little room to put two suitcases. Since we were staying for a number of days and had been traveling for 3 weeks, we wanted to put our clothes away. There is only a closet to hang clothes, but there were no shelves. There was also no dresser with drawers so we both had to live out of our suitcases. I put my suitcase under the stairs leading up to the bathroom and hit my head on the stairs when I took out my clothes for the day.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If mobility is an issue, request a room with a bathroom on the same floor. Ask for an extra luggage...

We are a party of 4 friends who have just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. We decided to stay here based on the comments on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. It is in a great central location and having only 6 rooms the hotel provides a small and cosy atmosphere. As other travellers have mentioned the hotel staff were lovely and you were always greeted with a smile.
The breakfast was very good with a wide selection to choose from. The coffee is excellent. I would definitely recommend the hotel as a good base for exploring Rome.

This is a small hotel right in the center of Rome -- three blocks to the Pantheon, three blocks to the Campo di Fiori, not much further to the Capitoline. The rooms are very comfortable, a nice breakfast is included, and the rates are laughably low. The service is outstanding, especially from Rodel, who may be the daytime manager but seems to be there all the time.

Our stay at Argentina Residenza was unfergettable one.Staffs were so corteous and Always ready to help you, they were available 24/7.Upon the arrival at the hotel you'll feel their warm welcome by their smiles. The room where we stayed was spacious, well decorated and well kept(very clean).Another thing that we love is the elegance of the place.WI-FI was so fast.Continental Breakfast was the highlight of our stay,a wide range selection of foods, from fresh fruits, ham and cheese, cereals, muffins in different flavours, croissants, and the lovely coffe they served, may it be cappuccino,an american coffe,a hot chocolate,or fruit juices and many more. You will find all these delicious foods on their banquet. We're looking to stay again at htis place when we come back in the eternal city.

Situated on Largo Argentina of Rome (with it's famous cat sanctuary amongst the ruins), Residenza Argentina is a few blocks from Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori, and the Panthenon. It is an excellent central location for exploring Rome.
Although it is situated off a busy square, the small hotel (comprised of 6 rooms) is quiet due to being situated a bit back from the street. Walk through a giant door off the square, through a courtyard, up 3 flights, and enter a comfortable retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the urban life. The staff is excellent -friendly and efficient. Yummy cappuccino and crema di limencello; bedroom slippers and a towel warmer- the best antidotes after marching through the city streets.

I highly recommend this small, central residence as a great base to explore Rome. I say residence, because it only has 6 rooms and is in a building which is much like a block of flats. The door is on a main (fairly busy) street. You enter into a courtyard, and once at a metal barrier, buzz in. There is a lift to carry your luggage up to the 3rd floor, we climbed the 3 flights. So my only caution would be, if you're not good with stairs, it may not be the place for you. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. The twin room we stayed in was cool - air conditioning was fantastic for the July heat - clean, and big enough for 2 plus suitcases. There is a safe deposit box at no extra cost, and a sizaeble wardrobe. Shower is good. Breakfast was continental and a good selection. Lovely coffee and tea on offer. Next, the location was brilliant. A short walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Il Vittoriano, and then from there to the Colosseum. There is a bus stop nearby to take you to the Vatican (remember to buy bus ticket from the tobacco shop before you get on). We also got a bus directly outside to take us to Termini Station. At night it is a short walk across the River Tiber to Trastavere (food slightly cheaper than in central Rome), or walk the other direction and go to Campo De Fiori - brilliant bustling square, day or night. I cannot recommend it enough for a first trip to Rome :-)

Room Tip: If you are a couple, I believe one of the rooms has a hot tub in the room.
