Reception staff couldn't be more helpful. Thank you.
Good location for a quick visit in Rome.
Bad point: no view from our room.

This hotel was not as conveniently located as I had hoped, nor was it as grand as the website's pictures suggested, but it was in a decent location, within walking distance to all of Rome, and near the river. The entire staff more than made up for any disappointments in this clean, but basic, lodging. Everyone was super-helpful, warm and welcoming. A special shoutout to Max, a real charmer:)

Room Tip: Our room did have a balcony, which was nice. Though the view was not that impressive.

My third visit to Rome and third hotel, by far the best in terms of helpful, friendly staff. Clean rooms, good buffet breakfast in a spacious dining room. We did not use the gym or spa facilities during our short break. The location is about as far out in Trastevere as you would want to stay for central Rome. It is a 15-20 minute brisk walk to the nearest bridge (Ponti Garibaldi) to cross the River Tiber into central Rome, though there is always the no 8 tram, if you prefer not to walk. There is a decent sized supermarket in the basement of Ovi off the main road Viale Trastervere, about 10 mins walk from the hotel for any supplies you need. The location is great for the evening as the many restaurants in the Trastervere region are within a 10 minute walk. We ate at three restaurants, La Scala in Trastevere, delicious food and good value, the nice man who greeted us left his shift shortly thereafter and then the staff were a little over zealous see my review of the restaurant (I would definitely recommend this place) La Fraschetta, nice staff, awful food and Sabatini's which was seriously over priced for average food.

I was just looking up hotels in Rome as we intend to visit soon .
I decided to check the Trilussa palace to see if it was as good as I remembered . I am presently surprised to hear from other guests that it is still a very nice place .
We stayed here four years ago while visiting my niece who was in university there. It was a lovely place with lovely friendly and helpfull staff . They couldn't do enough for us . Marking out maps of transport and places to visit . The breakfast dining room was beautiful also the food was good .
The transport is just outside the door , also there I'd a Sunday Market which is fantastic . Next time I'm taking less luggage so I can buy some things .
Look forward to visiting again very soon .

We spent 4 nights at the Trilussa Palace and found it ideal for the tram in to Piazza Venezia and central Rome. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, particularly at reception. The buffet breakfast was good value, and the room clean and well furnished.

We stayed at the Trilussa the last week of March and had a fantastic stay. The staff were very helpful especially Max. They helped us travel, use the tram, and even helped with dinner selections. The room was spotless and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. We did not eat at the hotel, but a breakfast was included in the stay. It is a vey quiet hotel, it advertises a bar and a roof top patio, but the patio was never open and the bar was 4 stools off the lobby. That being said I would stay here again! Thanks for the fantastic trip to Rome!!

This was my second visit to Trilussa Palace, the first having taken place 4 years ago. As always the front desk staff was superb throughout -- helpful and patient in asking multiple questions. I arrived early and my room was not yet ready (it was 10:30 a.m.) so they asked me if I wanted a cappuccino while I waited. I accepted, and proceeded into the bar to enjoy the coffee and several cakes that they also generously offered me (along with free wi-fi access to pass the time). Within 30 minutes, the room was ready. I normally object to a room on the first floor but in this case, it was quiet and easy to access via one flight of stairs.

The room itself was tiny, tiny even by European standards. Not much surface space on the small desk to put a computer and everything else -- but I managed. Free wi-fi in the room for all your devices was definitely a plus, and the speed was good enough to support Skype phone calls. The room was clean with sufficient towels. The shower, as others note, is extremely small -- emphasis on extremely! I struggled to carefully get in and out, but at least the water pressure and temperature were very good. I had difficulty regulating room temperature, although it was not hot outside and I could open the window from time-to-time to regulate it. The system doesn't seem to allow for cool air to flow from the A/C system during April. The room safe was situated on a broken platform, and therefore was not terribly functional.

I like the hotel location given the close proximity to public transportation, which will get you virtually anywhere you need to get in the city. City buses at times, however, can be very, very full -- so just watch your pockets and purses. I didn't encounter any problems, but worried nonetheless. There's a terrific Sunday morning flea market just outside the front door of the hotel that's a great local experience.

Breakfast was quite good, and I was able to eat as responsibly as I wanted with excellent service. They will make you crepes if you wish, in addition to eggs to order.

The gym is terrible. Small, dysfunctional (and insufficient) equipment and no filtered water fountain. Although there's 24 hour access, it would be nice if there was something to go there for. Very disappointing.

Overall, for the right reasonable price, this hotel is worth a shot for a short Rome visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a large room.

Greetings from Rome!
Dear Guest,
We wish to thank you for your stay at Trilussa Palace Hotel and for having shared your detailed opinion. We thank you for your words towards the staff. We are glad to know that you appreciated the possibility to have got the room in the morning, before the check in time, which is at 2 pm. We regret to get aware just now of your disappointment concerning the shower: if we would have known immediately, we would have moved you to a room provided with a wider shower. We are sorry that your sincere appreciation towards the service provided by the staff has not been enough to let us deserve a higher esteem in your opinion. For your next stay we suggest you to reserve a bigger room of upper category, in order to let you enjoy a perfect stay. The staff wait for you! Our kindest regards.
