We would like to thank the staff of the Trilussa Hotel for helping make our vacation a wonderful experience. The Junior Suite was very nice, clean and comfortable for a family of four. We especially enjoyed the Spa and the roof top bar/restaurant. Having breakfast in the hotel was a great way to start the day. Thanks to the helpful tips from the staff, getting around Rome was easy. What can I say, Rome is truly amazing!

We stayed at the Trulissa and had a very nice room, about the size of most european rooms, not to large. We were very jet lagged and went right to the Spa and got a massage, then took a nap. We were refreshed and ready for Rome after that. The hotel and our room was very clean, with a modern shower and toilet. Across the street on Sunday morning is a vast and very interesting flea market. Dont miss is if you are there on a Sunday morning. The staff is helpful, with a good command of english. They had an above average breakfast included in our room price.

There are many excelllent restaraunts nearby. Most are located near the Santa Maria Church square. The tram and buses go right by the hotel. You can also walk to Rome City center if you are energetic. The neighborhood seemed safe, we were out late and never felt like we had to worry. Many ATM machines within 3 blocs of the hotel.

We were staying in Rome for a few days with our two children. It's hard finding a hotel room with two double/queen sized beds. Trilussa offered that. They also offered an apartment style accomodation for slightly more. It was perfect. Clean, fully furnished, with plasma TV's in each bedroom and living and multiple air conditioners which kept the apartment nice and cool. We didn't have a need for the kitchen, but having a fridge was helpful.

Great location, right on the bus line and in an area of Rome which has great restaurants.

Staff was accomodating.

Treetop terrace looked great. We didn't visit it at night when it was open.

Only complaint was that our phone was not working in the room and they never did get it fixed (even though they came to look at it twice).

If you're travelling with a family and need some space, highly recommended.

This hotel is not one of the more known hotels. It is near everything - either by walking or taking the train which stops right in front of the hotel. There is a small garden rooftop which is very quiet and peaceful. The rooms have space and a fabulous showers! When I return to Rome, I will more than likely stay here again.

Stayed at the Trilussa Palace Hotel from 15th to 20th August 2009. Cannot praise the Hotel and staff enough. We arrived about 11am and were given acces to our rooms straight away. The rooms were as you would expect. Well furnished. The bathroom had a multi jet shower. I want one!. The breakfast room was light, spacous and a relaxing place to eat. The breakfast was buffet style and had something for all ages. the staff were some of the most polite, friendly and helpful that I have met. I cannot praise them enought. From the receptionist, bel boy, waiters, waitresses to the cleaners. A big thank you for making our stay a memorable one. It is true to say the position of the hotel is not central but the transport links. Trams and buses were excellent and cheap. Both stopped directly outside the hotel. a 1 euro ticket could be purchased from reception which would give you 75 minutes travel on the tram or buses. Your 75 minutes would start when you first used the ticket. We then bought a three day ticket (11 Euros per person) covering all forms of transport in Rome ( Trams, Buses and the Metro) Word of warning, This is for three calender days. So if you first used the ticket and 10pm on say Monday, the ticket would expire Wednesday at midnight. In effect only two days. The number 8 tram would take you to the Piazza Argentina (End of the line) From there it was a short walk (5 mins) to the Pantheon. The number three bus would drop you off at the Colosseum. If you plan on visiting the Vatican City or the Colosseum then book your tickets online before you start you holiday. You can often find the tickets at a discounted rate, saving yourself some of your hard earned cash. we did this for the Colosseum and walked straight past the never ending queue, went to the reserved counter and picked up the tickets. We must have saved ourselves a good hours wait. We ate out every evening and Trestevera (get off the tram just before the bridge over the river Tiber. Then walk down the side streets on you left. You will find many family run restaurants serving great food at reasonable prices. Avoid places like Piazza Navona, where prices are sky high. Don't keep buyng bottles of water as there are hundreds of drinking water fountains all over Rome. Just keep filling you bottle up. If you want to buy anything from the souvineer sellers or shops then haggle the price. 99% of the time they will come down atleast 20%. Go on, have a haggle. Its fun.
Once again, a big thanks to the staff at the Trilussa Palace Hotal. I would recomend this hotel.

We stayed here for only one night, and it was not in a great location to see things such as the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Campo Novona, or the Trevi Fountain. We needed to take a taxi which could cost up to 15 euros or the tram. But the room was very nice as was the bathroom. Be wary if you arrive early and your room isn't ready and they ask if you would like to upgrade to a junior suite - do this ONLY IF they include breakfast in the morning.

Dear Guest,
As described on our Internet page we are in the center of Rome in the
Trastevere area. All the web sites give the possibility to locate the hotel on the
map, give description and distances of the near-by points of interest so we
suggest checking details before making reservations. You can not expect to
be next to Colosseo or Spanish Steps. Anyway Phanteon and Navona Square are 10 minutes by tram number 8 and the ticket cost € 1,00

My Fiance booked this hotel as a birthday surprise as we were visiting Italy for a holiday with Family.
It was an excellent choice, the staff are excellent and attentive, the breakfast was excellent, and the roof top terrace bar and restaurant was lovely after a day out in Rome. We ate the Fish Grill there once and it was very nice, and good value considering this is quite a luxury hotel.
My other birthday surprise was having the Spar centre privately booked to ourselves for a morning, they even made me a lovely birthday cake and some champagne. This is very relaxing, and just what we both needed.
I feel very happy recommending this to anyone, the rooms are not the biggest you'll find, but for the price for eveything it is excellent.
