We had a triple rm which accommodate d my husband and myself and an adult daughter.
Located in via veneto area, more upscale neighborhood far from the maddening crowds. However easy walk to Spanish steps and shopping areas. Tiny breakfast room, opens quite late (7:30 am) slow wifi and wasnt able to operate tv. Very clean, Large bathroom. Couple flight of stairs, tiny elevator,, lovely, helpful family run. Downstairs there is a little Cafe if you need early coffee, pastries, etc. Would stay again but expensive I guess during summer.

I stayed at the Golden twice on this visit to Rome and had booked the single room. Good size for a single. Service is outstanding and friendly from the housekeeper to the breakfast lady. Giuseppe and Marco are ready to assist at any enquiry.
The breakfast is full of choices and made with love. Loved the frittata and fresh ricotta.
The small problem in 115 the wifi signal not strong. Good location with buses or metro and walking close to spanga and other main attractions.

Room Tip: The small rooms for single use good size for Rome

We were fortunate enough to be able to visit Rome for a second time, this time with my parents, and we certainly weren't disappointed. Thank you Giuseppe and Marco for a wonderful stay and recommendations as before. We love your place and will definitely stay here again, hopefully sooner than later. I don't want too many people to know about this secret, but this is a great location with great hospitality. Thank you to the entire family breakfasts were outstanding, and thank you for making my entire family feeling welcome. We look forward to our next stay.

Room Tip: No pool and fitness center, but c'mon, you're in Rome! Excellent

Great family-owned boutique hotel. The location was ideal for our first visit to Rome (June 2014). The staff was truly friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome. They arranged a car service from the airport, and provided excellent restaurant recommendations and directions. We had a two-bedroom suite that was perfect for my wife and I, and our two kids- spacious, modern, well appointed, and very clean. Breakfast was great, and included a wide variety. What the hotel may lack in spaciousness in the lobby, or breakfast area is more than made up for with charm and warmth. Highly recommended.

In reading the reviews of previous travelers it seemed there was more written about the family than the hotel. After staying there I see why. They are amazing! Brothers Marco and Giuseppe gave us maps highlighting walking, metro and bus routes. They gave restaurant suggestions and made reservations. One day it was pouring rain so we were given directions to an underground tunnel around the corner which took us to the metro. The hotel is walking distance to many of the attractions. There are also numerous options for public transportation starting with the mini electric bus (#116) which picks up around the corner from the hotel and stops at all the major sights ended near the Vatican. We also used the Metro and buses. The Roma pass went to good use. There were several great places nearby to eat. So as not to ignore the hotel - it was clean, beautifully decorated, A/C worked fantastic, rooms were standard size for a European hotel, bathrooms were updated and spotless. The pictures on their web site are exactly how the rooms look. They have a lift so no need to drag luggage up and down the stairs. Breakfast was homemade with numerous options. We requested transportation to the airport and the car was there exactly on time. Would I stay there again? Absolutely!

I saw all the great reviews for Hotel Golden so I tried to book it for my family for our trip to Rome in May. Unfortunately, only 2/3 nights was available (the first night was booked solid). I emailed them and asked if they had any cancellations, but they did not. Giuseppe recommended we stay at a hotel across the street for the first night and move over to the Hotel Golden for our remaining 2 nights. This sounded like a plan since I really wanted to check out the hotel. We checked out of the hotel across the street and rang the buzzer for the Hotel Golden. Giuseppe answered immediately and came on down to help us with our luggage. He checked us in, gave us a map of the city with some sights to see (we had just finished a tour of northern and central Italy and had seen the major attractions in Rome). Giuseppe was able to help us book restaurant reservations and even recommended a driver for us to go to the airport (highly recommended - for the 3 of us with our large pieces of luggage, it was cheaper and more comfortable than a taxi). Overall, we had a great stay and the freshly made breakfast by their family was wonderful. I would stay here again on my next visit to Rome!

We arrived at the hotel early due to flight time. We intended to just drop our bags off until we could check-in. We were warmly greeted by Giuseppe who instantly made us feel welcome and provided us with loads of useful tips and a map with lots of points of interests, restaurants to visit and bus routes. This map was well used during our stay and helped us make the very best of our time in Rome. Giuseppe also helped us book a night visit to the Coliseum which we had not been unable to do before travelling and all this within minutes of our arrival STAR SERVICE. The hotel was very clean we had the small double room which was fine for us as we spent very little time in the room during our stay. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice including fresh fruit, omelette, cheeses, meats and delicious home made cakes (cake for breakfast is ok on holiday!!!!). This fab service was mirrored by the whole family, Thank you all for your kindness and making our time in Rome so wonderful :)
