I loved this hotel! It was quaint and beautiful, a welcome relief from other more hectic parts of Rome. It was my first stop on a 1 month trip and the perfect jet lag recovery location. My room (# 20) was extremely tiny but I didn't care at all because I was traveling solo and it had a great little private patio. The staff was so great and complimented my attempts at speaking Italian. The air conditioning was wonderful by American standards and the wifi connection reached my room making me one happy customer. The only thing was that I was near the reception desk so it was a little noisy at times. Also the price was great compared to many other hotels!I would certainly recommend this hotel and this wonderful part of Rome.

Room Tip: Room 20 was tiny but the air conditioning was great! It was also a little noisy because it was very...

We wanted to stay in Trastevere this visit and booked Domus Tiberina at the last minute. We stayed in room 30 the first night which was super ,with a little patio over-looking a lovely square .very quiet and comfortable. However for the second night we were moved to number 27 - to be avoided as it is miniscule ! The two girls at reception Ana and Vanessa, were sweet ,nothing was too much trouble for them.Breakfast is in the restaurant in the square , so nice to sit there and watch the world go by..Great fun exploring the area ,very charming and a sense of being in the real Rome ,not noisy or touristy with quirky little bars and restaurants/ ,boutiques around. Would stay in Domus Tiberina again -but definitely book room 30 !

Room Tip: book room 30 with it's private patio.

After a horrible experience elsewhere, the owner of the hotel greeted us with a smile on his face and helped us settling with ease. The receptionist was very kind and helpful providing information and suggesting good restaurants. They turned our ˝disastrous holiday˝ into a pleasant experience. We will recommend the Domus Tiberina Hotel to all our friend and family. Close to everything, pleasant environment, very friendly and helpful staff!

Room Tip: Speak to the receptionist, will advise on everything you need. Very helpful, knowledgable and friend...

I went twice in this cosy hotel, with few romantic chamber in a roman-style little house very near to Isola Tiberina, a beautyful small island on the river Tevere in the centre of Rome.
People there have been very friendly and I suggest to stay there specially if you are with a romantic partner!
I tried more tomes to go again in this hotel but i fould it already fully booked! So it is better to book in time!
Moreover if you like to eat well and not to go to bed after midnight it is very near to Trastevere, a part of Rome on the west side of Tevere, very known to its joyful environment!
By tramway you can go in few minutes to Largo di Torre Argentina, in the centre of Rome, few hundreds meters from Piazza Venezia, Vittoriale, Campidoglio,Foro Romano, Colosseo
On foot or by bus you can go very easily to visit also Città del Vaticano, Piazza san Pietro e Castel Sant'Angelo.

Spent 5 nights in January 2013
The breakfast is extremely light, just one small industrial cookie, thus avoid booking the room including the breakfast because you will have to find outside something to eat. They have even no hot water for the tea, nothing to drink except industrial tea of coffee (in a plastic glass) from a machine with coins, nothing fresh.

Room Tip: there is not even a small room for the breakfast, thus you have to take it in your bedroom which is...

Dear Madame,

The typical Italian breakfast is sweet. Is made of an hot beverage, like cappuccino, tea or coffee, with something sweet to eat as croissants, toast with butter, jam or Nutella, and a juice.
This is a "Continental Breakfast". Eggs? Ham? Sausages? Bacon? Sorry but in Italy are considered dinner foods. If you love those foods we suggest to book an Italian hotel that serve "American Breakfast". It means 4 or 5 stars hotel. Check could be different but you'll have your favourite foods for breakfast.

Regards

We had a great time at Hotel Domus Tiberina. Rome is really hot in July so I suggest to book your stay on September or October. Hotel is located in a charming square just in front of Tiberina Island. Rooms are clean and cool. WiFi Internet access is free and fast. Concierge service is available 24hrs. We were informed about Rome tourist tax. Staff is polite and fluent in several languages. Magic Rome in Trastevere!!!

Room Tip: Room number 30
