La Casa di Amy is a very friendly hotel. It is about a 7 minute walk from the Central Train terminal. Ask any uniformed official to direct you to Via Principe Amedeo and just walk. The streets are easy to follow. Just look up at the first building you see on entering each different street. Bus routes can also be accessed from next to the Central Train Station.
I chose the hotel as I travelled from North Italy by train. I seldom used the bus as I walked everywhere.
The hotel is family owned and run. It is private and comfortable.
Family and staff are very helpful. Ask for a street map, if you have not already been given one.
Breakfast will keep you going for most of the day.
Michael

Room Tip: Just ask at Hotel reception. I had a room on the second floor.

We were amazed by the friendly welcome. The room was very cozy and clean, and so was the bathroom! Breakfast was great and we really enjoyed our time there. Very well located and people were wonderful! We highly recommend this B&B!

We stayed at the Casa di Ami in October 2013 (just getting round to going this review now!) and were delighted. We chose La Casa on the basis of location, price, and the reported friendliness of staff. We reviewed lots of other hotels online at around the same price, but all had negatives comments, so we went for La Casa, and weren’t disappointed.

Location, it’s only a few blocks (two minutes walk) from the Termini station. Some people might think the area is a bit rough, and indeed, it’s “lively” but no more so than the area around any mainline station in any European capital. It’s not particularly pretty, but it is not threatening – even late at night. All the rooms are set back in a courtyard, so you don’t get any road or street noise.

It calls itself a B&B, and this is correct; what you get for the money is a room (very clean) and breakfast. There no bar or public space to lounge around in, but that wasn’t a problem for us, we actually liked the anonymity. Staying at the Casa di Ami is just like having your own private room in Rome, but one which is cleaned for you, plus a place to have breakfast.

The breakfast room is very small and one morning we weren’t able to be seated, but they were very friendly and asked us to come back in 15 minutes, which was fine. I suspect that a large party might sometimes not all get seated, but the friendliness of the staff is overwhelming, and the breakfast is great.

All in all, we’d highly recommend the Casa di Ami as an ultra friendly, value for money, no frills, place to stay in Rome.

I was traveling by myself and spent 3 nights at this B&B. Not sure what the other rooms are like, but the room I was given was about 6x12 feet with tiny bed along a wall. There was a noisy A/C air intake outside the window. The shower could not hold temperature: it was either hot or cold. No hook to hang a towel on.
On the plus side, the room is very clean, location is good, there is breakfast.
Overall, substandard accommodations. I would not have made the booking if I saw the room beforehand.

We stayed here with our family (7) for three days. We had a wonderful stay in this bed&breakfast. The rooms were big & neat. The breakfast was plenty and good. This family business took good care of us during check in, check out & additional information.

I recommend it if you want to be near the centre of Rome & want a mid-budget accommodation.

Close to termini, didnt mind walking with our luggage (5mins walk or even less) Very hospitable folks, who gave us tips on where to eat and how to get to places. Only negative point I guess is that water temp wasnt consistent. Overall, one of the nicest B&B!

We have paid £286 for 4 nights, one room two persons, and breakfast inclusive.
The room was very clean, with enough space and good facilities. There was also coffeemaker.
Breakfast is slightly weak and quite adequate for B&B accommodation.
This is a family business; they do their best to please guests.
It is moments away from Termini Railway station, which provides perfect transport solution both for airport transfers and over the Rome sightseeing.
If you are not looking for specific or luxury place then it would worth to use Casa Di Amy.

Room Tip: I haven't seen other rooms
