“Location is the top of the list at Hotel Galli”

The best thing about this hotel is that it is about a block and a half from the main train station in Rome. We stayed here the night before we were flying out of the airport. The owner was very helpful and told us about the the bus that leaves from the train station to both Rome airports. It was an inexpensive bus shuttle to the airport, better that taking and switching trains with our luggage. The room we had in the hotel opened up on a courtyard. It was very charming.

We enjoyed our stay in Rome, however the bathroom had a terrible stench. No matter what we would try, it would not go away. Location near the train was very convenient. However, did not feel the safest at night time. Lots of homeless people sleeping around the train station but did not pose any danger to us at all. Room was a good size and value was great for what you get. Would recommend to any couple looking for a good value and to explore Rome on a budget.

The hotel is just 100 meters from the bus station (Terravision), and the metro is about 5 minutes walk. It's a really good choice if you would like to discover the city.
The prices are not cheap, but better than the average in Rome.
The rooms are not big, and the bathroom should be bigger, but it's good if you want to spend your time in the city.

Visited Hotel Galli in March 2013. Like every cheap ** hotel, it has pros and cons.
Pros:
1. Friendly and helpful staff. One guy speaks Russian.
2. Not far from the city center. You can reach some attractions on foot.
3. Near the Termini metro and railway station - it`s easy to reach airport and other metro stations.
4. In the Termini Station there was a pharmacy and a two supermarkets.
5. Room was clean, towels, soap and shampoo were changed every day. There was a little fridge in the room.
Cons:
1. There was no duvet, only a second sheet. And the blanket was not crystal clean - it was unpleasant for me to sleep under it.
2. There was no carpeting on the floor, and it was cold at night (because there was no heating in the night, but it`s common for the entire Rome).
4. The elevator was tiny. It can be emportant for children and elderly people.
5. The termini station area, on the other hand, is not the most pleasant one, because near Termini there are homeless people and it can be noisy.
But when you`re in Rome, all this things do not really matter :)
