Villa Rosa is a great choice for Rome if you do not mind staying in the suburbs and out of the tourist madness.
Easy tram access directly into the middle of Rome. About 7 to 8 stops away are some of the best Restaurants.
This is a good 3 star hotel. Rooms are small, but clean and airconditioned, breakfast is simple but ample. But it was the friendly, helpful staff, Eloria (hope I spelt that right) was particularly delightful to deal with.

I would definitely recommend this hotel because the quality vs.price is really correct. The position of the hotel is t if you arrive from Fiumicino airport (with a direct train only 27 minutes). It is cleaned every day, it is silent although near a huge street and the staff is very kind. Breakfast is, as usually in Italy, fresh and for everybody: you will find sweet and salty things, a huge variety of them.

You get what you pay for I suppose.

However, some people at the reception don't speak English and don't always make you feel welcome. As a result we didn't really dare going to ask for advice.

The room is ok, just a bit dated. The shower is not the best, takes a long time to warm and was a bit old.

The breakfast offers quiet a variety but doesn't taste very good (processed and sugary food), nothing fresh apart from the kiwis.
The location is good. Near transport that takes you everywhere and near trastevere train station.

You have to go through the stair to get to hotel. The rooms was clean but the bathroom shower was small. The breakfast not good.the stuff was very friendly.it near from all kind of transportation. Their is a little store near the hotel you can buy all kind of food and drink for reasonable price.

The hotel is hard to find as the street sign (Pratti) is covered by trees and foliage and not visible from the main street "Circonvallazione Gianicolense". You walk up ~25ft of stairs to the street level of the hotel. Four policemen could not tell us directions on how to get to this hotel. We searched for an hour until we figured out where it was with the help of multiple good samaritans. Once you find the hotel, you are close to train, bus and tram services. The Metro is not readily available.
We arrived at noon and asked if it was possible to check in early. "Yes, of course, if the room is ready, however, there will be an added "Supplemental charge" to your bill." Wow!! Just store our luggage and we will be back. No charge to store luggage! Hooray!!
After check-in we find the scarcity of the amenities. No coffee maker, no refrigerator, no microwave, no ice machine for customers, no kleenex. You get the idea. You can get a glass of ice from the bar, probably. At least we did when we asked. TV is desk top about 15" size (but no English channels) so what did it matter? (How about just ONE?)
Some good points: the water is wet! (No "Supplemental Charge") A safe is available in the room for valuables. It was a clean room and a clean hotel. It had a very tiny shower stall (god help you if you are slightly larger than average size.)
Breakfast was about average for this quality of hotel. Cold cuts and carbs, nothing hot. Pineapple juice was unrecognizable and nasty.
Staff was pleasant overall.

Room Tip: First, get precise location information.

Hello.
Reading your feedback, i am very surprise......
We remind that our check in time is h: 02.00 pm.
The storage room is free for all.
In our description of the hotel, there isn't written that in the rooms there is coffee maker, refrigerator, microwawe, ice machine and kleenex,so i can't understand your expectations.......
In our the rooms there is Tv with flat screen , Free safety box ....
The quality of the breakfast is very good(you can read many many good feedbacks)......
Regards
