With a public bus stop just outside the campsite and an offered shuttle bus to the Vatican this camp site is a must. Either tent, van, bungalow or chalet it has what you need and a pool, restaurant, bar and shop. Or a big supermarket just across the road. Handy and clean.

We stayed in one of the chalets for 6 nights, it was clean and cosy and had comfortable beds and a piping hot shower. The campsite facilities were great including the pool and bar, but we didn't really enjoy the €6 breakfast and would instead opt for one of the fresh pastries and a coffee off the bar for half the price.
The location wasn't city central of course but the €24 travel ticket available from the info-office got us everywhere we needed by bus and metro.
The campsite did get a little noisy with younger travellers enjoying themselves in the evenings but tended to settle around midnight as the cheap beer and sunstroke caught up on the little blighters.
The campsite has airport transfers for €11 to fiumecino which I would highly recommend as the airport taxi charged us €48!
Overall would highly recommend for an outdoorsy traveller on a budget.

Having pre-booked for 4 nights at Camping Roma Aurelia over the Easter period whilst touring Italy, we were a little sceptical, being far from young, but very young at heart, when we later read reviews and were advised by others, that it was a noisy site mainly for tents and likely to be full of students! What a lovely surprise when we arrived in our motorhome, we asked for somewhere quiet and were escorted to an out of the way spot which was extremely quiet, we were never disturbed. The facilities were the best we encountered on our 3000 mile journey - very luxurious in fact. The bar was taken over by students but we were elsewhere in the evenings! Travel to and from Rome centre was very easy by bus and metro, even very late at night. I would highly recommend Camping Roma for anyone.

It was one of the cheapest alternatives we managed to find. Also it was kind of close to the city. But... The bungalows are reaaaally really little. We were 3 there and it was impossible to move in here. But the main goal of this accommodation was to spend a night there, leave in the morning and get back at night, so it was OK.

Camping roma is out of city centre which means a hassle to get into centre.it offers airport shuttle which is great. The pool is great and seaside bar and restaurant.the bungalows are quite small and close together.
