My husband, myself and a friend has wandered away from the Pantheon and down some streets. There was some fabulous window shopping so Il Lucano seemed to be a good place to stop and revive before splitting up.
We were happily surprised by the quality of food and the excellent and wonderfully friendly service we received. The waiter was more than happy to speak with us in English after our lame attempts at Italian. He was solicitous, friendly and wiling to help 2 Americans and 1 Indian who planned a trip at the last minute and were stumbling through Rome.
We had a wonderful lunch, great wine and a good time relaxing as we planned the rest of our day after lunch.
As for the food, I can't say I remember much since it was mid-May and now it is mid-June. I remember being very happy with it and my husband said it was the best tiramisu we'd had since we'd been in Rome.
All in all, the service was great and friendly, the place was lovely and situated nicely after the Pantheon and oh gosh do I wish I was back in Rome.
