Extremely disappointed, I expected to be clean, not to be: moisture (wet bedding was permanent), mold, dust, cobwebs, many mosquitoes, heating in room did not work more than 20 degrees Celsius; staff was mostly naughty, feel annoyed when asking for something that was their job.The park that they are so proud of is small, like a back yard... :( Far from the subway to the Vatican and do 20' with the bus, but walking about 45' if you go normal.

We stayed at the end of October the reception staff were pleasant, the bar staff were rude. When I asked to order food you would have thought I asked to sleep with her husband , the same when we ordered drinks either from male or female staff..
The room was ok bathroom very small the whole place needs updating. If you were early for breakfast you were ok as everthing had run out by 9am.

We stayed there last week - not sure how it got rating! Very cramped room with minimal space in en-suite. No kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in room. In Oct restaurant is closed in the evening so only food is limited bar snacks. Breakfast food starts off plentiful but after German coach parties have got at it, it becomes limited!
Staff are not especially helpful and it is a long way from anywhere of interest. There is a bus stop across the road or the Cornelia Metro station is 15 - 20 mins walk away.
All things considered I was disappointed and will not be going back again!

Room Tip: Go to a different hotel - or take Holy Orders

The web pictures show clean room colorful furniture and furnishings. In reality, it is probably one star or less by North American standard. The 14 inch TVs are still CRT probably from recycling depot. The daily internet rate is probably higher than the Sheratons, the Marriotts. They cater to group travelers. Breakfast is bare minimum, no sausage, no bacon, Every morning is the same ham and cheese. The dinners for all hotel guests are all pre-set. No a la Carte. Always start with a dish of pasta, then a "main" course of 2 thin pork slice, with potatoes, and some veges. No second helpings. lucky to have chicken. Two things drove me nuts; (1) at dinner time, no tea or coffee or even hot water. Have to pay tips just to get a jug of hot water! (2) Since the dinners are included in the price of stay, you pay for it whether you eat it or not. You cannot order something else on top of the common menu. They don't sell anything more at dinner time. My friend bought some fruits from his shopping trip and start eating his orange or apple after the "main" course, and the waiter told him that he cannot eat any food brought from the outside! They don;t sell you fruits but they would let you eat your own fruit! My friend is not taking advantage of not paying for his meal and brought food from outside. He paid for his meal already and the hotel is not loosing any money! How idiotic the mentality and thinking!
Lastly, it is not minutes from the Vatican, you'll get lost if you try to walk there.

Room Tip: Rome is expensive, this is a budget hotel. Put up or pay up

I read a lot of bad reviews before I travelled, but all of them proved to be wrong in my experience. Yes the rooms could do with redecorating, but they we're clean and the bed was an American king size. the bed was at one end and the desk, chair and wardrobe at other end by bathroom. Bathroom was reasonable size with a large walk in type shower. Yes the shower was a bit flimsy, but the power was great and the water always hot. A little flat screen telly with remote, and there was air con which worked fine, but we did not use as travelling in October. Breakfast was great everything you could want. From eggs and bacon to yoghurt and fruit. Also had twinnings tea ( English breakfast) so got a very decent cuppa if you don't like coffee. Also a very pretty garden to sit out in and have a glass of wine. Bottle of house White was 15€. The room and breakfast was part of a package deal with British Airways. The package cost just £196.00 for 3 days. Easy to get to Rome centre from hotel at there is a bus stop across the road. Danny at reception was particularly helpful with info on transport etc. great guy. All in all a great stay. Don't know what other reviewers paid to stay there, but on my package I thought it was a great bargain.

Room Tip: We had rooms in the last block furthest away from reception and it was very quite.

I recently stayed at this Hotel for four nights whilst on a Tour round Italy and have to say this was probably the worst Hotel I've ever stayed in. The main areas of the Hotel were nice and clean but the actual bedrooms we stayed in were fairly grotty - paint feeling off walls, toilets needing bleach put down them and mouldy grouting and dirty showers.

We stayed at the Hotel on a half board basis and when eating found the restaurant staff extremely rude and disinterested - did not get offered any drinks whilst eating and seemed to only be bothered about clearing up other tables whilst we were still eating.

I have to say that the best part of the Hotel was probably the Bar in Reception as they offered a wide range of drinks and couldn't have been more helpful and the breakfast offered as there was plenty of choice.

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Rome this September and I was a little disappointed. The hotel reception staff weren't very friendly or welcoming. The room was tiny but wasn't really an issue for just one night. The breakfast was good and had a wide enough selection for me and my husband. We both felt very unwelcome in this hotel and couldn't wait to check out!
On the plus side it was easy to get to and from the Vatican on the local as the stops were a short walk from the hotel gates.
Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this hotel to friends or family based on the poor attitude of the staff.
