My daughter chose this hotel for us on our first ever visit to Rome. We opened the door to our room and I was in love. Just like I thought Rome would be. Even better a separate sleeping area fer her and the hotel was hidden away in a narrow entry which led to an amazing shopping street. Felt safe enough for my daughter to go to store and back alone. Mattresses really hard but hey I was in Rome after all.

My husband and I booked for 2 nights in Rome and were traveling with our 7 year old son. This hotel was brilliant. It's location is perfect as you can walk from the train station and many attractions were within walking distance if not too hot (not recommend in August as we were in 30+ temps). We were given a triple room which was a lovely size and it was very clean and kept to this standard throughout our stay. The extra key card given which allowed you to keep your air conditioning on all day was needed and gratefully received. The only aspects that slightly let the room down were the beds being rock hard and the shower could have been more powerful.
Cannot fault the staff as they were all very approachable and couldn't do enough to help you. Breakfast was good and our son loved the added attraction of the pigeons.
We would not hesitate to stay here again as you cannot fault the location, especially in the heat as you can walk back from an attraction for a quick rest and shower and then be back out in the heart of the city again. Perfect.

Couldn't rate this more highly. Spent a week here with my husband and two children. Location is excellent all of Rome highlights are within easy walking distance.
The room was large enough for a family and was spotless and well maintained during our stay.
The breakfast was a highlight for us. From 7am - 10:30 am meant we could have a leisurely start or could have breakfast prior to an early start at the Vatican.

Staff were courteous and friendly. Loved the shared balcony where we enjoyed many evenings drinking wine.

Highly recommended.

My husband went for a three week vacation to Italy and part of our stay was at a fabulous hotel in central Rome called Domus Romana Hotel. There is so much character in the hotel, we felt like we went back in time. The service was exceptional, and the rooms were very clean, there is a beautiful courtyard with a fountain and bistro chairs and tables. Our room had a view of the courtyard. If you love to walk, you can go to so many places without needing a taxi. There are tons of restaurants, shops, and sites to see. There is no possibility of getting lost because the hotel is central to everything, even the train station is within walking distance. We walked around late at night and enjoyed the outdoor cafes, we felt completely safe moving around on our own. Language is not an issue at all. We would recommend this hotel to any traveller who likes to explore and walk!

Room Tip: Room with a courtyard view are quieter and less noise.

This is a lovely boutique hotel with incredibly spacious rooms (especially for Rome), but the location is not the best if you plan on seeing the sights of Rome and the beds are terribly uncomfortable and sparsely furnished (one sheet, very thin comforter and one pillow). The "twin" beds are actually sleeper chairs. The breakfast, however, is one of the best we had on our trip and the staff was nice. The wifi worked hit or miss and the "business center" (one computer) didn't work. Would stay there again if had to for financial reasons (good deal), but not my first choice.

Room Tip: Ask for a verandah. We didn't have one, but the courtyard is so sweet and we would have loved t...

We just finished 4 nights in the hotel with a family of 5. We had 2 rooms which were very clean and very large. Free wifi, although we needed to sit in lounge area on our floor to access.. but it was nice and peaceful overlooking a courtyard with a fountain. Our one room probably could have used updating, projection TV, scuffed walls, and peeling wallpaper, but our second room had freshly painted walls and a flat screen TV. The staff spoke English very well and were very helpful. Great location and breakfast is included.

We just finished 3 night stay in the hotel, that provides what a person need while staying at Rome: clean and large room , clean and comfortable bathroom, cooking place (not used by us) , free wifi (not working in all the areas) and excellent breakfast. The hotel is minutes walking distance from restaurants, shops and sight seeing tours for the city.
The staff is very cooperative and helped us to find good restaurant in the area , and fulfilled all our requests. I'm planning to use this hotel on our next trip to Rome for sure.
