“Just a place to sleep”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

Totally agree with RcMil review "On Your Own".
If you need a place just to sleep - get it. Breakfast - only bread, milk, juice and cereal.
So, this is not a breakfast. They didnt even have any tea bags...
I dont know if smoking was allowed or not, but there was a very heavy smell of tobacco in the kitchen. Together it made it impossible to eat there...
There is no lock inside the room, so you dont really feel safe at night.
We had a 6 night stay and didnt get a room service.
Air conditioning was not working.

This is an apartment converted into a four room B &B with absentee landlords. You must make arrangements to meet someone to get the keys and pay for the room. It was difficult but we did this and did not see the people again for the next four days were were there. Their are bums dumpster diving in the road out front by the little park. That being said this suited our needs and the girls running the place are accommodating and purchased an alarm clock so we could wake up in time to make an early flight. There are no phones in the rooms which are noisy. If you are hearty travelers on a budget with low expectations this will suffice.

This wasn't our first choice on Trip Advisor, but our other choices were not available for our dates. However, we were not disappointed. This was a handy location. We arrived a couple days before our cruise and were staying a couple days after our cruise, so being close to the train station (3-5 blocks) was handy for getting back and forth with luggage, easy walking distance. There were lots of restaurants in the area as well, 1-2 blocks which was welcome after walking Rome all day. It was nice to go back have a shower, change and not have to go far. Most of the restaurants offer a fixed price muti-course selection for around 15-20 Euro. The walk to the Coliseum was about 15-20 minutes. We also walked to most attractions and put a lot of mileage on our legs but preferred that. We did take the metro to the Vatican is that is too far to walk.

The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Francesca is not there all day so when you check in get your questions answered right away. Although there are little packets of shampoo, if you are like me, I need conditioner as well, so best to bring a couple little travel size bottles at least. Breakfast included bread for toasting, some packaged croissants, cookies, juice. I didn't know how to make the coffee in the little espresso maker, so I just bought cuppacinos to go at MacDonalds across from the train station. Its sounds silly to be in Italy and have your cuppacino from MacDonalds, but it was just as good as the cafes and you can get a large in a paper cup to go.

This hotel's literally 5 minutes walk from Roma Termini, it's convenient for sightseeing or to do outlet shopping.

The b&b itself's clean and cozy, Francesca is friendly and helpful.

Well the breakfast was minimal, toast, yogurt, coffee, juice, biscotti... not quite enough to fuel me for half day... but still it's better than no breakfast!

Free wifi's included and I can wire up more than 1 device!

Talking about the surrounding area... it seems a bit unsafe, but once you got in the building, then to Eterna Roma, it seems alright. There are quite many restaurants nearby, and it's easy to get some fresh fruits from convenience stores, so it's been qutie a pleasant stay.

Eterna Roma is located quite close to Roma Termini station. There are several nearby convenience stores and supermarkets and also a good selection of restaurants in the surrounding streets. The area has a bit of a dodgy feel to it but generally we felt quite safe, even late at night. The property is also about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the Colloseum and all of the other main sites of interest can be easily accessed using the metro system, buses or walking.

The property is a little hard to find because it is not signposted (you need to look for the street number) and you need to ring a buzzer to get into the building. But the owners are lovely and the room was large, comfortable and quiet. There is a lift to access the property, although it is a little dodgy. The rooms are airconditioned and have a safe and mini fridge. The windows and shutters work quite well to block out a lot of the noise from the street below. There is also free wi-fi, which worked well most of the time but we did have trouble with it dropping in and out of service.

Breakfast is provided in the small shared kitchen, but it was not very good so I would recomend eating out or buying your own food. Everything that is provided is pre-packaged and long-life so there is nothing fresh. We went to a nearby supermarlet and bought our own food instead, which we then ate in the kitchen and stored in the fridge in our room. Utensils for the breakfast are also scarce (there are only 2 large spoons to share between for all 4 rooms!) so you sometimes need to wash other peoples dishes so you can use them yourself.

The reception is also not 24 hours, which we didn't have a problem with, but dont expect anyone to be around to ask for immediate assistance. You can call the owners by phone at any time though on a number provided. Although rooms are made daily (except maybe on weekends), don't expect to get new towels or linen. We didn't get any new towels during our 5 night stay. We would stay here again for the price and convenience, but would also try out other options in the area first.

We have been at "Eternaroma "B&B for 5 days during April 2012. The location is perfect- 2 minutes foot walk from Termini station (so is the nearest metro and bus station) and at about 10-15min.walk to the antic heart of the city. The room has nice furniture and is definetly clean and well serviced. Bathroom isn't vary spacious , but is clean too and everything was working properly( includind the hairdrier) There is a free Wi-Fi , which is not mentioned in the official site of Eternaroma. In the morning you can enjoy a nice self-serviced breakfast in very calm and home-like atmosphere.
Francesca is very hospitable and will wellcome you with smile , explaining you everything you need to feel like home.
We will recomend Eternaroma to our friends. It is a perfect base to see and enjoy Roma, which you'll find eternal ia every part and detail.
