“Great staff”
Reviewed 11 October 2012

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights at the end of Sept. The last night we were upgraded to the garden suite on the 4th floor. However, both rooms we stayed in were beautiful and quiet. Since we really only slept in our room, I wouldn't pay extra for a more expensive room. The staff is especially helpful and we never asked for anything that they didn't kindly provide. The location to this hotel is perfect and we enjoyed walking to the local square each night for drinks and dinner. The wifi is hit or miss and expensive. For the price of the rooms, they really should consider including wifi in the cost.

Room Tip: I think the 3rd or 4th floor would be the quietest.

My wife and I spent 5 nights here to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary this luxury small hotel was decorated to an extremely high degree and it fitted the ocasion we felt spoilt, staff were great breakfast was excellent and you felt you had privacy because of the small size. This is in a great location for the sites of Rome and many good restaurants close by, it is also amazingly quite. If you are looking for a treat this is a great place the only negative is they charge for so so wifi.

Had a lovely week at this hotel. Picked up at the airport by a chauffeur driven car, which was complimentary. It's a very small and friendly hotel, with gorgeous rooms and very good service. The breakfast is served in the 4th floor lounge or on the roof terrace. There is a good choice and Valentina was particularly friendly and helpful - nothing too much trouble.
The location is great - adjacent to the Roman Forum and about a 15 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain area. The cryptoporticus behind the reception desk is a novelty.
The room was gorgeous, with a huge comfortable bed and all the usual comforts (deluxe room). I swear that every time we left the room, they changed the towels!
The free buffet in the evening (if you buy a drink) was great to accompany an aperitif before heading out for the evening. It would be adequate for a supper if you had eaten earlier in the day. We were told by staff that we could also visit the roof terrace at the Inn at the Spanish Steps and enjoy the free buffet, as long as we bought a drink - we ran out of time unfortunately!

We stayed for 2 night in late September. This is a hip and stylish boutique hotel well located for the sites of ancient Rome. The colliseum is a brisk 5 - 10 minute walk away and the Roman forum (as the name implies !) probably less. The local area is actually not as touristy as some and has a trendy edge to it with some art galleries and hip looking bars. The hotel is on a quiet side street with a feel of faded elegance. The room had a very modern fit out and was pretty spacious considering sizes are smaller generally in Rome. It was comfortable and well maintained. There is a lovely roofterrace with a lovely garden and enchanting views over the rooftops of Rome. Breakfast on the terrace was mega pleasant although the breakfast buffet itself was pretty average. The roof terrace becomes a bar in the evenings for a relaxing evening drink. The room service food is very average and you would be better off giving it a miss. We had a lovely and romantic stay here in a wonderful city.

Overall, this place is really sweet -- warm and helpful staff, very good breakfast, and a spacious, comfortable room. The location is perfect, essentially adjacent to the Roman Forum and the Coliseum. You don't come here to be doted on, but it has all the comforts of a 5-star hotel and everything else you need as a home base to see Rome.

Room Tip: We were upgraded to room 401 without even asking, and I'm not sure why -- but I'd certainly...

Just returned from a lovely short break to Rome. Hotel very authentic and traditional up a lovely small street. Very pretty, typically Italian. Breakfast is a hit. Great rooftop terrace area for breakfast and pre-evening drinks (also free buffet late afternoon if drinks purchased). Very comfy bed (deluxe room). We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were particularly freindly, helpful and accomodating (especially William who kept the drinks flowing and the lady at breakfast - sorry I don't have your name!) Hotel organised airport transfers for us and everything worked out a treat - we had booked a prepaid package which included breakfast and transfer so made the price good value. Great location for the Forum and Colleseum - lovely restaurant on the street round the corner (Fori Imperiali) and we also loved the Hotel Forum's rooftop American Bar (very nearby). We walked everywhere expect a couple of night taxis to further afield restaurants we had prebooked. Taxis fairly cheap. Top tip - definitely book trips for Colleseum and Vatican - jump the line - well worth as the lines were very long indeed!!

This hotel is really great. It is small and the hospitality is striking!
We stated in 2 different rooms during our stay and they both were stunishing in different ways!
At first we stayed in one of the suites on floor 3 with a jacuzzi and our own fire place. This room is magnificent and the big, big old windows has à wiev over the roof tops and a small car free street below.
Our second room was on the first floor and was even bigger then the first ones also with à beautiful fire place and since there is no traffic on the street very quiet. We had thought that the rooms would be more of a European standard rooms = small... But no this hotell has hughe rooms every one of them different. They are even more gourgeous than you see on the website.
The hotel has 4 floors and 1-4 rooms on every floor. The best thing about this hotel though is their private garden on the 4th floor and the roof terrace on the same floor.
In the garden you can sit in the shades in the afternoon sipping a glas of wine. On the roof terrace (were your wonderful breakfast also is served) you have a complimentary afternoon snack buffé. And there you can sit in the sun and soak in the amazing views of ancient Rome!
Since the hotel is a Boutique hotel in it's right sense you find your self chatting away with the other guests and you soon get the feeling of beeing among friends in someones private home.

I Can't say enough good things about this hotel and would never stay anywhere Else if going back to Rome (hopefully soon)

Don't forget to check out the antique cellar of the building. The entrance is right next to the reception.

The location is great if you want to check out the antique Rome. It is actually located right by/in Forum Romanum and Forum imperiali. As I understand it the cellar actually is belonging to forum imperiali. Colosseum is max 5 min walk.
For the rest of the city it's also walking distance, but bring good walking shoes.
We walked to the Vatikan it is a bit of walk though maybee an hour but you always find other interesting places on the way when doing so :)

Highly recomended and i hope to be back soon!
