“Great boutique hotel in Rome”
Reviewed 14 January 2014

Had a lovely couple of nights at the Inn at the Roman Forum.
Although I had been to Rome some years ago I was not sure whether the location would be good or not, however it turned out to be perfect. It backs on to ruins near the Roman Forum which is a less touristy part of town (we were glad we didn't stay at the Inn at the Spanish Steps) and there is a more local feel to the place.
We had a lovely room (we were upgraded to 401, apparently the best, so we were told....) which had a mix of maximalist fabrics and felt lush. The bathroom definitely needs a renovation however the rest of he hotel, especially the living room/eating room with terrace were great and very comfortable. It is a boutique hotel and not a top 5 star large chain hotel, so don't expect everything to be perfect, but do expect a nice intimate feel.
We'd definitely recommend this place to friends for a great value, boutique hotel.

Room Tip: We had room 401, right at the top with private terrace. Had a great night's sleep!

Recently I stayed at The Inn At The Roman Forum with my partner for my 21st birthday, (a treat from my generous parents!!) and what a treat it was! They couldn't have picked a better hotel for us to spend my birthday, The staff are so friendly and always greeted us with smiles on their faces (especially Glen who gave us a great first impression of the hotel, which carried on throughout our visit) breakfast time was lovely and we had a lot of help getting around the city. would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants an amazing hotel, friendly staff and close to the city centre.

My daughters took me here for my 50th birthday. The hotel was just wonderful! All the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The food, which was served in the comfortable lounge, with stunning views on the terrace, was delightful!! Extremely clean room, with a jet bath, which was very welcome after sight seeing all day! We would definitely return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome!

Excellent little "home-made" hotel. Very good location, just by the roman forum, very close to the Colloseum and the monument to Victor Manuel II.
The staff is very professional, very helpful, very friendly. Michelangello and the rest of staff do a great job in trying to make you get the most of the experience.
And the hotel itself is really pretty. Specially if you take one of the upper rooms (401 or 402). They are really speciall. You add to it that, despite of being right in the core of Rome, it's extremely quiet.

Stayed here for 4 nights over Xmas. The hotel was very conveniently located beside the historical centre of Rome.

Room was very nice and had a great atmosphere. The complimentary buffet breakfast was a highlight with personalised service from the lady who cooked eggs/omelettes to order, made fresh orange juice and wonderful hot croissants.

Staff were very helpful in booking and recommending restaurants, tourist activities/sites and with directions.

Only minor issue was that the wifi signal was patchy in our room (301).

I would highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is centrally located, close to the Colliseum, Metro and so many of the beautiful buildings in Rome. It is on a quiet street, which is nice as there is no street noise at night. All the staff at the hotel are so warm and accommodating, anything we needed they we sure to take care of it. We were given a choice of rooms, and chose one in the annex. It was extremely comfortable with a lovely bathroom, very comfortable large bed and excellent facilities. The excellent breakfast buffet, catering for all tastes, was eaten either in a welcoming room or on the terrace, with fine views. We opted for inside, although the weather in December was excellent. Every evening one could partake of a complimentary buffet if drinking in the hotel, which we did one night, very enjoyably. This trip was a surprise birthday present, and the Inn helped to make it a perfect trip. We cannot wait to return. If you go, also take a look at the ruins in the crypt below.
