We stayed here 4 nights early April, and were very impressed with the service. Right from the moment I booked (it is advisable to book direct on the hotel website, which I found offered the best room prices, rather than via booking.com or such websites), the hotel supplied helpful information as well as the offer of a free transfer from the airport, as we were staying more than 2 nights.
On arrival we were upgraded to the garden room, which has a small terrace and access to the roof garden at the rear.
The room was lovely though would benefit from some attention to fixings and fixtures, especially in the bathroom. Friends of ours stayed in one of the standard rooms and an executive room respectively, and both of those were as roomy as the garden room, though lacking a view. But if you go to the 4th floor, you can see quite far across Rome from the roof terrace along the front of the hotel.
The breakfast is very varied, and is served from a very early 06.45 to 10.30 am. Complimentary pastries and water are available during the afternoon, and are followed by a selection of snacks, which are served between 5.30 and 8.00 pm, and are free if you order a drink from the bar. Both the waiting staff and the receptionists are very helpful and friendly.
One thing that was missing, was complimentary water in the rooms, and though the tap water was perfectly drinkable, it did taste a bit odd. Our friends bought some bottles in the tiny off-licence shop around the corner.
Last but not least, the location was superb, a stroll away from the colosseum and the forum, but in a nice a quiet side street off the beaten track. The Vatican was about 40 minutes walk away, while the trip to the airport took only 30 minutes.
