We picked this hotel after reading reviews. It suited our purpose exactly. It is a few minutes from the Termini rail/underground and bus station. It is also the only point on the system where the two metro lines meet. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet side street and there is no noise disturbance whatsoever.
The free mini bar (soft drinks/water) filled up every day was an added bonus after a day sightseeing.
We will cetainly use this hotel again when we revisit Rome.

My husband and I stayed here last week during our honeymoon for all seven nights. The rooms and bathrooms are especially large for a European hotel room. Free mini bar that is refilled everyday (with water, coke, fanta, juice...no alchohol, but still a very nice touch! ;-) Our rooms was always nicely made up with fresh sheets and towels when requestedand the staff even folded some shirts we left out for us. There is also a free breakfast buffet which was a great money saver (eggs, bacon, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, croissants, coffee cake, espresso, cappucino, American coffee, and fresh squeezed juice served by a friendly staff) . Directly across from the main "Termini"- metro and train station so is very convinient for metro travel in Rome and for day trips by train. A little bit away from main tourist attractions (20-30 min walk) but this is nice as the hotels on main streets can be very loud all day&night. Also, they have a car service from the airport to the hotel for 100 Euros round trip (its about 40 each way for a taxi...and this is a locked in rate&garaunteed ride, which was totally worth it for us). If you stay here, check out Cotto restaraunt...it was the best meal we had in Rome& is right around the corner.

Made very welcome by reception staff especially as we travelled with a wheelchair for my daughter which we left next to reception throughout our stay.
Room was spacious, new and had all amenities including large tv, free mini bar and wifi.
Well worth a visit

My wife and daughter spent two weeks at the Hotel Diocleziano for my daughter's first trip overseas. She's 15 and my wife wasn't used to traveling without me either, so there was a little nervousness. Thanks to picking the right "home base", everything went perfectly. We couldn't have asked for better care from the staff. Polite, professional, and above all helpful, the holiday went off without a hitch.

Two major considerations for choosing this hotel were it's location in regards to walking distance to the places they wanted to see, and it's location in regards to noise level from the street. They had no problems at all walking to the furthest points in their plans: Piazza Del Popolo to the north, St Peter's/Vatican to the west, and Circus Maximus to the south. They didn't have to take a cab, bus or metro once, as everything was within walking distance. And plenty close to shopping and restaurants but tucked away half a block from major streets makes all the difference; it was extremely quiet and a great place to relax in the evenings.

The price was very reasonable for being in City Center, and for anyone wanting to use buses or metro it's only a block away from the terminal. From airport pick-up and drop-off, to information about the city and where to shop and eat, to addressing all requests immediately, this hotel and it's superb staff get top marks. An outstanding continental breakfast was included and worked perfectly into daily plans.

I'd absolutely recommend this to any friends or family planning a trip to Rome.
