“Absolutely Fantastic”
Reviewed 18 January 2009

This hotel was just brilliant. We got the teravision bus from ciampino which left us at termini station and the hotel is just a few mins walk. It is extremly clean with polished floors everywhere and the staff are extremly nice. the room was really nice, well heated, and had a free minibar with soft drinks. At €700 for seven nights it was great value. There is a fabulous trattoria just down the road called famiglia where we ate every night which was very handy after a long days sightseeing. Overall a superb hotel, in a great location, beside a great restaurant.

P.S The breakfast buffet was brilliant with lots of choice and fabulous coffee.

The hotel was in close proximity to the train station and in walkable distance to most sighseeings in Rome. The room was spotless clean and the hotel stuff was more than helpfull and polite. The breakfast buffet had a great selection for all different kind of tastes. There was free mini bar with non alcoholic drinks in the room (restocked every day). What more can anyone ask? It was perfect and we will definately stay there again when we go back to Rome.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during the Christmas period '08. I want to say that the hotel and the staff were great.

The hotel is very well located (very close to the metro!). The room was nice, clean and big enough (tip: ask for a room with a bath),. The breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help us in finding the best restaurants, and having a sauna was a great luxury after exploring Rome for a full day.

Conclusion: I would have given this hotel a 4 1/2 star rating if possible.

It is very close to the metro so you can get to the famous sites but nowhere near anything Staff Friendly . Internet costs a measly sum and a quiet hotel.

The Diocleziano is a very good hotel, has very friendly and helpful staff, has an excellent location, and all this for a very attractive price. We were more than positively suprised by the very central location of this pretty new hotel (5 min walking distance to/from the train station Termini) and the silence we found there. We could open the windows of our room at night and it was quiet (yes!) . We explored Rome from here by foot. Once again, perfect. 2 minutes walking and you are at the Piazza della Repubblica. Or, within the same time, inside the basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri. Nice restaurants are reachable by foot within minutes. Thanks to the hotel manager Diego and his crew for making our stay sooooooo wonderful. Stefan & Gabi

The hotel was clean and nice. The staff was very professional and attentive. The rooms are very small. The free stocked bar was a bonus. The room rate we received was very good relative to other options. The location of the hotel is within walking distance to the train station which was great upon our return from Florence - when we checked into the hotel. Having previously explored the city, areas closer to the river are more scenic (and in my opinion, more desirable) but you can't beat the overall value for this hotel. If you want a good deal at a clean and nice hotel (near the train station), this is a great place.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. You feel really welcome there. Rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with all what you need. The only improvement could be done reg. TV and radio channel choice, which is quite poor for non-Italian guest.
