“Great Hotel - Great Staff”
Reviewed 21 June 2010

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in June 2010 in the VIP room. The room was immaculate, the private terrace was beautiful and the staff were outstanding. Every aspect of our experience was excellent. Although the hotel is located close to Termini station (which is ideal for getting around the city) it is located on safe, quiet street. We would definitly stay here again and we would recommend this hotel for any visitors to Rome.

Can't beat this combination of location, location, location... and comfort plus fantastic service in Rome. We have stayed in other hotels in this city some more expensive, others less expensive but none where we felt we got value for our money as much as we felt after staying at Diocleziano. A stone's throw from Train Station so VERY convenient for travellers and daytrippers but without the grunge of the Termini ghetto since it is neatly tucked away behind the age-old Terme. Great sound barrier - we slept like babies, completely immunue to the hustle and bustle of the city outide. The complimentary breakfast by Rome standards was varied and hearty enough to last you easily to noon, and offered comfortably in a quaint & sizeable dining area to get your day started. The free internet - what a plus ! Last but not least, the people who work there are fantastic - thanks to the breakfast staff, the Manager, and of course, the 3 Musketeers at the Reception- Giorgio, Hicham and Valentino - for their recommendations and right-on helpful hints to make the most of our stay. Forget the 5* hotels or the Haunted Discount Hotels in Rome - the way to go are the boutique places - intimate, comfortable, clean as a whistle, amenities, that does the job and then some without breaking your bank - save your dollars for the shopping! I would highly recommend Diocleziano. We stayed in a clean/comfy/cozy superior room and not less than what we needed, and given that you are only sleeping in it, it doesn't really need to be gargantuan. We wholeheartedly enjoyed our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

my wife and i spend our honeymoon at this great hotel.
we spend 5 nights in june 2010, sleeping in the superior room.

the hotel is very clean. our room (room number 103) was spacious and very nice.
the hotel is located in a quiet street, (there was no noise from the street at night) just 5 minutes walk from Termini station, which is the main transportaion station in Rome.

the mini bar drinks are free! really... there are new soft drinks every day. there is
free wireless internet connection in the room, if you have a laptop. if not - there are several computers in the lobby, connected to the internet, and it is also free of charge.

the breakfast is very nice, with good choise of food and drinks and even coffee machine.

but the best thing about this hotel is the staff, and the wonderfull service they provide.
a few examples:
1. at the day of our arrival, we were surprised with cold champagne and snacks, as it was our honeymoon.
2. we needed an electricity adaptor for our laptop. the staff had many adaptors but no one matched to my needs. the next morning one of them gave me his personal laptop cable for the rest of our stay!!
3. when we left the hotel on our way to the airport, we forgot at the reception a poster with self portrait. when we got back home, we got an e-mail from the hotel, asking for our home address in order to send it to us. we recieved that item today!

everybody in the hotel were so friendly, always smiling and asking about our traveling in the city.
for me, just being able, today (a week after leaving the hotel) , to remmember most of the names of the staff members says it all. so... Simone,Anna,Melanie,Hicham,Theodore,Giorgio and Valentino - thank you so much!!!!

we will definitely come back!

Hotel Diocleziano is conveniently located near the main train and subway station in Rome which made access to all of our attractions a breeze. Although, like all hotels in Rome, the rooms are on the smaller side.....it was very clean and the staff was great. Our room also included a great breakfast buffet.

The hotel also had free wifi and a nice fitness area if walking through the city is not enough exercise for you.

Our room was very clean but small. Fortunately it came with a terrace that was even larger than the room! The bathroom was roomy and had a huge bath/shower with multiple heads. The staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast buffet nice with a good variety......even fresh sqeezed orange juice.
Located within a 5 minute walk from Roma Termini and walking distance to all the major sites ( the Vatican being the furthest was maybe 30 minutes) we would definitely staff here again.

Stayed two nights on a business trip. It has everything I look for in a business hotel. Convenient to transport links, quiet rooms (even on the street0side, with a building site opposite), good and FREE wifi, irons available (not a given in Europe). Staff were all cheerful and attentive, remembering who I was, even if they only met me twice. Reminded me once again why I prefer small independent hotels to the large chains that I so often end up in.

Bravo Hotel Diocleziano, I'll be back next time my travels bring me to Rome.
