We booked this hotel with all good intentions because of the fabulous location. We required a hotel with secure parking as we were on route to emigrating and had a car full of household and personal items. This hotel seemed perfect. UNTIL WE ARRIVED. We parked In the car park in the area shown in the photos as secure parking and looked around for the reception. NOTHING!! We eventually went into the building as a person was exiting the big wooden doors and found the hotel reception. A bearded man was at reception and immediately told us to move our car onto the street as this hotel had NO PARKING the nearest secure parking cost euro24 per day. We needed 3 days which pushed this choice of hotel to premier league accommodation prices. Then we were informed that the night man cannot work and that after 8:30 reception would be closed. We wanted to leave there and then and go to another hotel but was informed that we would be charged in full. We decided to stay and checked into our pitiful room. The hotel room safe had a low battery code and we requested a new battery. The same bearded man fumbled about with a screwdriver and did nothing but assured us that the safe was okay to use. We put a large sum of counted money in the safe and attempted to make good with the hotel. We were friendly with the bearded man to the point he shown us a photo of his son off his phone, he gave us recommendations of where to eat etc and we were warmed by his friendly ness. It was on night 2 of 3 that my partner asked about if I had any cash and when I went to my wallet it was empty. I passed it off as my mistake but later began to remember I did have some loose change and about €40. In there. We then decided to check the sum of money in the safe and to our horror discover a theft of €660 not from one pile but each pile of money we had at least 2 €20 notes had been removed in one pile 7€20 had been removed.
Immediately we went to reception to discover no staff in the building and no emergency contact numbers. Then was the realisation we had been charmed by this man while he had helped himself to the money whist we were out.
Other point this hotel serves breakfast in the reception area at the front door. This hotel has only 7 rooms. This hotel is in a residential apartment building and the residents are far from friendly.
