The villa is spacious and comfortably accommodated our group of 12. Nice furniture, well equipped. Has great views, private pool, large lawns and private parking.
The loft style living area has direct access to the patio with BBQ.
The kitchen has big fridge, oven, dishwasher, all utensils. No microwave.
Free and reliable wifi was very much appreciated by our teenagers.
Weel-sized bedrooms, two with ensuite bathrooms, and very good quality matresses (not common in rental houses).
Plenty of nice restaurants at 5 minutes drive, only one in walking distance. Many well stocked supermarkets too within a few minutes drive. You will definitely need a car.
Easy day excursions to Rome city center, the Vatican and the seaside. Lovely lake beaches are just a mile away.
Owner helpful, easy to contact and customer oriented. There was no problem with our late arrival and no extra charges.
Elegantly furnished and perfectly located villa.
The house is in a very quite position, on top of a hill with a unique open view onto the lake. A few minutes drive to the many restaurants and beaches in Trevignano, half an hour to downtown Rome.
Well maintained garden, large private pool, a scenic patio and plenty of parking space.
Elegantly furnished and decorated, definitely above the standard of the majority of rental homes, yet not more expensive than other same size properties in the area (we’ve been searching a lot before booking).
Owner easy to contact, always responded quickly and positively to our requests.
A couple of things though: pool towels are not provided, so if you don’t want to bring your own you can buy them at Mercatone Uno (very cheap). Also be prepared to comply with Rome garbage recycling system: you will need to accurately separate glass, paper and plastic from all the rest or they won’t collect your garbage unless you pay an extra fee (in my opinion it’s a smart way to effectively operate recycling, well done Italy!)
We loved the villa and swimming pool. It is a beautiful view and the house is really well designed.
Things to note. The tone is set by the warning in the book about the place."Do not compare this with home. It is not home" The front door needs a code or key. The renter could not remember the code and gave us the wrong one. Make sure you know what it is. There is only one key - you need it to get out. If there are many people you will need to work out how to manage. Thete are 5 bedrooms. Teo are connected without a door. This was fine for us but make sure its fine for you.
Their is no bin collection (as the road the villa is on is not made up) and a threat of fining £100 if you leave rubbish. The dump is a few miles away and only open till midday and not on Sunday. We left on Sunday and did our best.
It was torrential rain at the beginning and the pool had stuff swept in. We eventually got a net from the renter but used a soup ladle to clean it.
Overall a really lovely place in a lovely setting. Just a few glitches.
We spent a week in this lovely villa. The location is perfect for a family holiday - the lake is a pleasure, the towns are scenic and great for wandering around, shopping for essentials or just getting a pizza and ice-cream, and day trips to Rome and additional places of interest.
The house was comfortable for our family group of 15, with pool and large outdoors dining area.
Halla was helpful with information, instructions and requests we had.
The week was extremely hot, apparently one of the hottest of the last 50 years, so additional ACs (only one installed in one upstairs bedroom) would have been nice, bit we managed ok with the standing fans.
Absolutely beautiful place, one of those luxury italian properties that you see on magazines.
Elegant entrance to the large garden, with lots of trees and some antique jars, and at the end of the driveway a unique view on the lake.
The villa is architecturally very interesting, with a high ceiling, a dramatic stairway and large windows facing the patio and the lake. The house is well furnished and has it all: dishwasher, washing machine, big fridge, wifi, hairdryer, iron, etc..
In a short distance from the center of Rome and just a few minutes from many shops and restaurants, however nothing is in walking distance so you will definitely need a car. Some difficulties with the garbage recycling rules, but OK once you understand how it works.
We were impressed from the minute the automatic gate opened and we drove along the tree lined driveway that leads to the house.
Luxuriant flower bushes and huge old jars gave an aristocratic touch to the garden.
The villa is beautiful, with stunning views over the lake and plenty of outdoor living space.
It has it all: unique location, large garden, nice private pool, BBQ, and even an orchard!
Indoors the furniture is simple but very elegant, with a few special pieces here and there.
Well equipped, including dishwasher and washing machine, it lacked a microwave.
Also aircon is only on the first floor. However, I must say that we did not feel the need for aircon on the groundfloor.
Garbage rules are a bit complicated, but in the end we could manage.
Car is absolutely necessary.
In conclusion, it was a very good experience and we definitely recommend it.
