Our stay in Matisse was incredible, it is a very quiet place close to all the attractions of Rome. Tonino & Roberto were very helpful and advised us and make the most of our trip. The breakfast is amazing and the rooms are spacious and very clean.

From the first, Roberto was friendly and accommodating. When he saw that my elderly mother was having trouble with the (one flight) of stairs, he moved us to the property on via Cavour, which had an elevator and was a great location - close to the Forum, the Colosseum, the Capitoline Museum, etc. The room and area was scrupulously clean and when my mother mentioned that my camera battery died, Roberto took the battery, went out and bought a charger for us, and charged it up. That saved us an afternoon of hunting around for a camera store and was well beyond the call of duty, for which I was very grateful.

Being on via Cavour was a little noisy but I loved being near so much action. There were lots of great little restaurants, bars, gelaterias and caffes within a few blocks and we came to have our favorites. Roberto's recommendations are always worth following up; he never steered us wrong. We had a private bathroom, beautiful marble floors, and there was a little terrazzo where one could eat breakfast al fresco. It was also convenient to have use of a refrigerator so that we could buy bread, cheese, fruit, etc. for a snack and store it there.

I had read some reviews that made me leery of my choice but I am so glad that I went with Roberto's Matisse B&B. He likes people and if you are friendly, he'll willingly become your friend. He's a great resource, too, and doesn't mind answering questions. I recommend his place and personal service very highly. Bill

For a city where you can pay 50? for a hostel room, this B&B has good value. Nice clean rooms, comfortable bed, good service and good snacks/breakfast. They have lots of locations so just email them for options. The locations are all well placed, as far as we know.

At the Via Nazionale, a 10 minutes walk from the famous Mercati di Traiano and 15 minutes from the Colosseum, we enjoyed our stay in this nice B&B. It's situated in an old appartment building. The room was good, our private bathroom was situated ten meters from there. It's safe : you have to use four keys to get into your room. There is also free wifi in every room. The breakfast is simple but you can eat all day and night if you want so. Prices are reasonable.

The staff, open kitchen, the rooms, and common areas were perfect. They help you with everything from explaining how to get around the city to different tourist attraction ideas. They made my stay in Rrome very enjoyable

The stay in Rome was enjoyable in each way: the weather, tourist attractions and an accommodation in Matisse B&B. I stayed two nights in Matisse B&B in Via Nazionale, two other ones in the new location in Via Cavour. Interior of the hotel is decorated very nicely, free WI-FI, food available 24 hours a day, large room, clean, with private bathroom inside the room. Owner very friendly and helpful, he speaks English well. Both one location, and the other one is exactly 5-10 minutes from Termini Station as well as close to many tourist attractions such as Colosseo, Palatino, Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona and many more ... During my holiday in Rome I did not use public transport at all because there was no need. Nearby Matisse B&B there are many shops and restaurants (especially in Via Nazionale, Via del Corso, Via Veneto ...). I highly recommend this place! I definitely go back there again:)
