Despite numerous people complaining that this hotel is noisy, we found it to be just the opposite. A very friendly and inviting hotel with staff that could not do enough to help. They even helped me to find the directions to visit a (very) small football ground that was out in the suburbs of Rome so that I could watch a game there. Breakfast is superb with so much choice and plenty of it. The metro station is next to the hotel and the Colosseum is a short walk away. Superb little pasta house is 200 yards away with plenty of other restaurants close to hand. I would certainly stay here again.

I enjoyed the two days I stayed there. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was really good. Even if the hotel is on a cross with a lot of traffic, it was not so noisy. In addition, the hotel is opposite from the Manzone Metro Station, so it is easy to visit the whole town!

The advantage of the hotel: right next to the tube station Manzoni, so transportation is easy - and in close walking distance (15-20 min) to Termini, Piazza Republica.

However, the staff is not the friendliest i have met in hotels and let's not forget it's in Italy, where people are really friendly!
The neighborhood, is not very nice, especially in the evening, as there are no shops around or someplace to eat (no restaurant in the hotel), if someone is really tired to walk again.

But the worst thing is that the rooms are NOT clean. The carpets need to be changed and i think they have not been hoovered for a while. I once had coffee in the room ( free amenities) and the next morning i realised the cup was just washed with water and still had coffee staines.

Don't remember in which floor our room was, but it was a twin room, with two seperate single beds, on different "floor level" (there was a step) and if we wanted to watch tv, we had to stand by the wall, as the tv was placed in a spot that we could not watch it from either bed.

The beds were confortable, and the breakfast was OK.

Overall, as one would understant, i would not recommend it!

Dear Stefania, thank you for reporting about carpet cleaning and cups, so I will make sure that does not happen again. You splet for sure in room n ° 225, practically the last room to be restored. In fact, there is still the old carpet in this room......that instead we are replacing in all the Hotel. We are pleased that you have enjoyed, however, the quality of our beds, the friendliness of our staff, the good Breakfast as well as the strategic location of our hotel. so I am sure that if you had slept in one of the "renovated room" you would recommend our hotel. This is why I hope you come back in the future in our Milton Rome and I am sure you will be satisfied. Kind regards, Hotel Manager Chiara Mencarelli

I spent two nights at the Hotel Milton Roma. It was cozy and quaint in the heart of Rome. The room although small was very nice and the bathroom was beautiful. It was perfect. The desk staff was helpful and pleasant. I had to leave very early on Saturday morning, long before the breakfast buffet opened BUT I was invited to go in and they set up some things so I could get a bite to eat before I left. I thought that was incredibly kind as I did not even request it. I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the inner court were very quiet. Sleeping was a dream.

In a good location close to the Metro and Colosseum. Check in was quick and efficient. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Our standard room came with a safe and fridge but had no personal coffee/tea facilities. Furnishings are a little old but fairly typical of the older hotels in Italy. Buffet breakfast was included which was very good and perfectly adequate to start you on your day, Reception staff were extremely helpful and very cheerful. Our room faced onto the tramlines with regular trams commuting past so was very noisy with vibrations and squealing sounds (didn't bother us too much as we only stayed one night). Local Cafes nearby to get something to eat. Enjoyed walking around the streets at night. Plenty of activity and quite safe. Local currency in Euros

Room Tip: Some rooms face tramlines where they pass outside fequently. Can be very noisy
