“Great B&B! Great Location! GREAT VALUE!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 November 2013

I stayed here for a couple of days of sightseeing during a business trip to Italy. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. They sent me an email shortly after I booked the trip to verify what kind of bed I wanted and to make sure I had concise directions on how to get to the hotel, including what the taxi fare should be from various locations. As it turned out, a taxi was unnecessary since the hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the train station. It was also about a 25 minute walk to the Coliseum, or there was a Metro station within 200 meters that would take you there as well.

The room was small, but certainly adequate. The bathroom and shower might be a tight fit for those of...very large stature, however it was nice and clean. The neighborhood was Indian/Asian and everyone was very friendly. I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable, even at night. There is a fantastic gellato place across the street and terrific Indian Food around the corner. There was some noise from the street, though the owners have done all they can to diminish it. It wasn't close to being loud enough to bother me, but if you're sensitive to it I suggest taking a travel radio and setting it to a static station. The white noise should be able to easily offset any sounds from outside. The value cannot be beat. I will definitely stay here again.

The place is an apartment in the first floor of a residential 4 floor building, the room is one of the rooms of the apartment with a private bathroom. The hall of the apartment is used as the breakfast area. The building is in a good location about 12 minutes walk from Termini train station, 5 minutes walk from the nearest metro station (Vittorio Emanuello) and 10 minutes walk from the Colleseum. There are no signs outside the building to help you identify the location, the street door of the building is always kept closed, therefore the first time you arrive you should use the intercom at the street door so that the owner can open the door for you. The owner will give you 3 classic keys: one for the street door, one for the apartment door and the third for the room door. The room (Mexico) and bathroom were small but clean with many decorations of the Mexican style. The breakfast is limited to certain items, you get it from the hall and have your breakfast in your room. The owner is friendly and speaks English, he gives you a map of Rome and explains how to reach the areas of interest. The area around the building is full of Asians and most of the stores in the area are run by Asians. Contrary to what we had read in many reviews, there is no nearby classic supermarket (only an Asian supermarket with unfamiliar Asian products) or geliteria. Overall, it was a nice stay

This was an enjoyable stay. The place can be a little difficult to find when you first get there, and the area may seem a little dodgy, but is in fact ok! It is the Chinese/Indian part of town and there are a few homeless people you see every now and again, but nothing at all to be worried about. It is a 5-8 minute walk from the Colosseum and Roman Forum and also from Termini where you can catch the Metro to pretty much all of the attractions. The hosts - Mother & Son (the son Alessandro speaks good english, mum not so much but she is super friendly!) are very nice people and helped us with our luggage when we arrived. They also give you a map and advise you of the best ways to get to certain attractions. They are happy to help at any time, you just need to knock on their door. Our room was a good size and set out very well, lots of triple plug adapters for appliances. Good air conditioning and bathroom fan also. The shower has excellent pressure!! Cute table inside your room for you to have breakfast/dinner at if you wish. Bed is a good size and very comfortable. The breakfasts are ok - help yourself in the kitchen area scenario. This is one area that could be improved. They only offer 2 kinds of cereal, 1 type of bread/toast, croissants and a few biscuits. In the fridge you get 1 type of juice, milk and water. The only spread available is Strawberry Jam which we thought was a bit poor, surely they could offer a few different toast spreads?! They have a coffee maker as well, which makes ok coffee. (If you want a handy hint here - go down the road 50m to the gelato shop who do amazing cappuccinos for .90euro!). The main negative of the stay here would have to be the noise - it is in a very busy street which is also a 'tram' street. It is noisy pretty much the whole way through the night - the owner has done her very best to negate this issue by installing sound proofing on the back of the window shutters and also soundproof windows, but unfortunately if you are a light sleeper you are unlikely to have a full nights sleep. I am a moderate sleeper so managed to get a decent nights sleep and my partners is a very deep sleeper so she had no problem. Overall for the price we would defintely recommend Momi B&B and would happily stay there again when we come back to Roma!

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far away from the main street (Principe Euginio) as possible due to the noise!

The location feels a bit seedy, and we were not comfortable staying out late at night. The room was clean and well appointed and the breakfast good. There was a smell of tobacco that permeated the room at night which made it difficult to sleep for non smokers, I do not know if this was from another guest or the owner.

Very nice room (Mexico), very clean, very kind stuff, breakfast ist bad - but enough for a capital town trip. We will book surely again on our next Rome trip. The Road beside ist quite loud by reason of the tram car.
