“Basic B&B, clean, small rooms, convenient if slightly seedy location”
Reviewed 28 September 2012

If you don't have high expectations and only staying for a short break, you will be quite satisfied with this B&B. It is old-fashioned but the rooms are clean and tiny with air-conditioning and a TV (albeit with Italian channels only). The staff are friendly and helpful if you get to see them as the "reception" is only manned a few hours a day. You will be given a set of keys for entry to the hotel and the room, don't forget to take them with you as you leave the room as you will get locked out if reception is closed. There is a street market just outside the hotel so the area can get messy in the evenings and it can get a bit noisy with lots of hooting when cars are double parked etc. Breakfast consists of a hot beverage, juice and good quality croissants. You will need to pay the city tax of 2 euros pp per night. The entrance to the hotel is a big brown door with a buzzer but it is pretty easy to find as it is right next to the MacDonalds and a minute's walk away from the metro .If you are catching the SIT bus to and from Fiumicino airport, allow for about 45 minutes commuting time during peak hours. The stop is at Viale Crecenzio, near Piazza Cavour, about 20 minutes walk from the hotel. You can also catch bus 23 to the end of the street a few minutes walk from the hotel and the metro is only a couple of minutes away.

The room was very small and had to use a portable A/C as the other was broken.. Was kind of hard to initially get in due to the small plaque outside the door ( European hotels and B&B's don't have big signs just doors with little buzzers).. No instructions on where to go once inside which was confusing.. Location was great and near to the metro.. The hostess Dehlia was wonderful.. I would stay there again..

First arrived to the hotel we were very excited about being in Rome and happy with our accommodation. We were surprised and shocked when coming back to the hotel later that afternoon we found a note on our door telling us to come to the front office after which the hotel manager told us that we would have to move to another hotel the next day due to the fact that they made an overbooking. This meant that the only fully day we had in Rome was broken due to the fact that we had to move to the other hotel around mid day which messed up our earlier made plans for that day. The hotel manager was very apologetic about the situation but did not offer any compensation although the hotel they moved us to was quite a bit cheaper. After telling her this she threw 20 euros in my hand which according to her was enough. But in reality it was not even the amount that the other hotel was cheaper and further it definitely did not compensate us for the uncomfortable situation and unfriendly manner of the hotel manager at 207 Inn.

I recently went to Rome on my own to celebrate my birthday, and loved the city, and the hotel. The hotel itself is in a nineteenth century charming building, has just 9 rooms, and was lovely, clean and very quiet, even facing onto a busy street. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and I would highly recommend this hotel. They took very good care of me every day, beginning with bringing my breakfast to my room before I set out. It's a great place to stay to see all of central Rome, a five minute walk to St. Peter's Square and the Vatican Museums, and within easy walking distance of all the historic sites you probably have on your list. I enjoyed walking to my various destinations every day, but there's also a Metro station half a block away. There are also lots of great clothing stores and restaurants right around the corner. All in all, a great place to stay! I would definitely stay there again!

Ideal for visiting the Vatican and within walking distance of most places of interest. 5min walk to metro station. Our room faced the main road, which is rather busy and can get a bit noisy at night. However, after all the walking during the day we slept like a log anyway, so the noise didnt bother us too much. Very friendly staff. Would go back

I was arriving in Rome for a study abroad program and needed a place to stay for the night prior to my accommodations becoming available.

I researched the options on Tripadvisor and wanted something close to the Vatican, as St. Peter's Square was a priority of mine to see first.

207 Inn was extremely comfortable and offered a great base of operations for that first day in the city. Great view of the busy street below, too!

Very helpful staff and a tasty breakfast.

Room Tip: Not sure if there are rooms without a view of the street, but ask for one, in case!

A great base for exploring Vatican and Rome! Near Ottaviano station (Line A).
The hotel is located on the 2nd floor of an typical roman building. The elevator is also old and at the same time very romantic. Rooms needs to be renovated (dirty walls) and TV set to be repaired.
Breakfast was served to the room: juice, croissant and tea or coffee, so perfectly acceptable for a decent start for the day.
