We made the right choice staying here. It's very near the train station (you'll appreciate this if you're planning to daytrip to Florence) and pickup points for shuttle buses, and the supermarket's around the corner.
The hotel is clean, you feel safe and Mary and Carlos make sure that you take the right routes and buses. You almost feel like you don't need a guidebook. They map out all the places to see, how to get there, where to eat, and give you a short history lesson on the art so you'll appreciate it even better!
The rooms may be a little small but we felt cleanliness and safety outweighed size, and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Staying at Welrome was a bit like staying with your nan and pop - Mary and Carlos are genuinely caring and interested in ensuring you make the most of your time in Rome. They proposed itineraries, restaurants, tours, and were only too willing to make phonecalls on our behalf to book shuttle buses. When we wanted to post a package home, Mary personally took us to Mr Franco to buy the required brown paper and string; when we tried to leave the hotel in the rain to pick up our laundry, she insisted it be delivered instead by Mr. Hassan - she could not have been more willing to help. Every morning we received fresh croissants and juice at no extra charge, and on our final morning of departure she fixed us a bag of breakfast provisions and lollies for our plane flight. We would recommend this hotel to any first-time visitors to Rome, and would stay there again.

We stayed for two nights at the Welrome at the end of our Italian experience. Although we had stayed elsewhere in Rome in a better location, the value here was great and the passion of our hosts, Mary & Carlo, for their beloved city cannot be matched. We wanted clean, comfy, simple and easy - and that is what we got. The location is walking distance to the Metro, the Termini and buses and our hosts are full of great tips and advice for touring around the area. We certainly enjoyed our stay.

We recently spent 7 nights at the Welrome hotel. Whilst the rooms are basic, they are clean & comfortable. However the fantastic value in staying at this hotel is the exceptional service provided by hosts Maria & Carlo. They greeted us warmly every time we came or left the hotel. The information & advice they provided made our stay in Rome so much more interesting. carlo's enthusiasm in explaining the detail of the wonderful sights we were seeing helped Rome come alive. With a location close to the main station, it is in walking distance to the metro, hop on hop off buse & many attractions. Whilst there is no breakfast room in the hotel, every morning a basket with a pastry and juice for each of us was outside our door. Just enough to start the day. There is a supermarket around the corner, at which you can buy lunch provisions. We absolutely loved our time in Rome - thanks Maria & Carlo!

The room at Welrome was small but very clean and had everything we needed. it is in a great location within walking distance to almost every sightseeing location in Rome. Because it is so central, it was a little bit noisy at night, however not enough to put us off staying there again.

We had been told breakfast was not available in the hotel however Mary made sure we had croissants and juice outside our door every morning and it is a very short walk to a place that makes great coffee.

Mary was a wealth of information on what to see in the city and helped us map out an itinerary for each day including the best places to eat. All her recommendations were spot on and we had a fantastic time in Rome.

Easy to find hotel located 10 mins walk from Termini Station. We booked soley on tripadvisor comments but must say we were let down this time. The location was perfect , we only used public transport once while in Rome , we walked everywhere. Mary , the owner , was very obliging and helpful. The only let down was the size of the room. We didn't have enough room with 2 cases to move around the room without stepping over the cases. The "Trevi"room amenities were fine but just too small. We travelled for 5 weeks through Europe and this was by far the smallest.

Welrome hotel is located centrally in Rome - the hosts are lovely - they make sure you get breakfast every day (pastries in a little package for your room) and are very forthcoming with local information. The hotel is small and quiet - the room has all the basics and the price is reasonable for Rome. Mary is very maternal and caring to ensure you have the best stay. Would recommend.
