I stayed here in April 2014 over the Easter period, the hotel was difficult to spot at first as I managed to walk past it twice. Once we spotted it and went in, it was a very impressive place. The room was fantastic (front facing) and the staff very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The wooden elevator looked like an antique but functioned fine and added a lot of character to the hotel - the trouble being that if a gate was left open on any level the lift would not operate (for safety reasons).
The hotel is in a fantastic location, not too close to the hustle and bustle but still just a very short walk to the main train station in one direction (including metro) and another short walk in the other to the Trevi fountain. With it being Rome, there's no shortage of cafes, bars and restaurants anywhere. The first night we arrived, we were welcomed with complimentary pizzas (one each) at the small restaurant next door to the hotel.
Couldn't fault this hotel if I tried, it was more than I expected and was very happy with everything about it.More
