Perfectly located on a quiet side street, close to Roma Termini train station and an easy stroll to the Colosseum, restaurants and many other other of Rome's sights. We very much enjoyed our stay here and had we been returning to Rome at the end of our vacation would have booked here again. Salvatore and Lisa were fantastic hosts and so very helpful in getting us situated and oriented to the city with a ton of helpful advise. A glass of wine or a cold drink with Salavtore will start you off right in Rome. The B&B itself is situated in an apartment style building and has been nicely renovated. The venue is tasteful with nice decor and super clean thanks to Salavatore's management and diligent staff. Good shower with private bath. Air conditioning if conditions warrant. A friendly staff member was one hand each morning to assist with a simple but plentiful continental-style breakfast. Salvatore was kind enough to give us a ride to Termini on the morning of our checkout. Loved the place. Loved the hosts. Loved our stay. You can't go wrong staying here.

I stayed 5 days with my husband in this nice B&B, next to the "Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano". We truly received a great service. Salvatore and his wife were so nice, friendly and helpful. The room and the bathroom were nice and very clean, breakfast was very good. It was easy to go anywhere in town. We would like to recommend this B&B for anyone coming to Rome.

We just went back to Sweden after spending five wonderful days in Rome at Obelus B&B. Obelus is a nice little B&B in a perfect location. Quiet but still close to everything. 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum and three minutes to the metro. Perfect!

We stayed in a doubleroom which was pretty small. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Clean and fresh. The only thing we really missed were some hangers in the room (and in the bathroom as well). There was a wardrobe, but not so big... The tripplerooms were significantly bigger and I would say it's well spent money to pay the extra 10-30 euro extra even if you are just two people.

The owners Salvatore and Lisa, and the girls who worked there were all very kind and helpful in every way. They really try to make your trip pleasent.

The breakfast was good and absolutely enough for our needs.

If you have a laptop, take it with you. The wireless internet connection is excellent and it's a big help when you are in Rome looking for information.

We stayed at Obelus for 3 days and it exceeded our expectations. Salvatore could not have been more accommodating. He really went out of his way to help us prior to our trip to Rome and while we were there. Helping with arrangements, train tickets and transportation to the Vatican. He simply made an average trip into an unforgettable one. The B&B is small but very clean and well kept. We had keys to come and go as we pleased. The area is very quiet and a short walk to attractions with a few restaurants right around the corner. We would stay here again when in Rome and recommend it highly.

We felt like it was home, the moment we arrived at Rome, thanks to Salvatore and Lisa (the proprietors). Sal and Lisa certainly put in that extra bit of effort to ensure that you feel taken care of. Sal ensured that he tracked us through phone from the moment we arrived at the airport, and picked us up from a convenient location. It was lovely to get a chilled beer as a welcome drink on arrival after the tiring journey, and be briefed about Rome by Sal and Lisa (you should certainly not miss out on the Gelato joints they advice you to go to). It was a delight to to stay in such clean rooms, with attached spotless bathrooms. A well stocked fridge and effective silent A/Cs enhanced the comfort. Sal, Lisa and the room attendant Lulu are warm conversationalists, and we learnt a lot about Rome and Italian culture by conversing with them. Sal is also a great photographer, so he's just the right guy to tell you about where you can get the best shots of Rome. In fact if you're nice enough, he'd volunteer to take you around some interesting spots from where you get priceless shots (being keen on photography I really appreciated this). Last but not the least, due to Obelus' good location, we were comfortably able to cover many places in Rome by foot. For the Vatican and surronding areas we had to use the metro, which was around the corner from Obelus. -- NITISH

We, a family with two children aged 8 and 10 years, made a brief but intensive two-day visit to Rome. Obelus B&B is very well located: close to subway and within walking distance to Collosseum for example. Do not let the graffiti on the walls you see on Google Street View scare you - Rome is scribbled all over the place. The room we rented had sky-high ceilings, it was clean and neat and perfect for us with a large double bed and two extra beds. In the mornings we was served good home-cooked breakfast. The host and hostess were genuinely friendly and helpful. If we go to Rome again we will definitely try to book us a room here again. This is really affordable rooms for those who do not need, or wish to pay for, 24-7-service like in a hotel.

My Wife and I went to Italy for our 25th anniversary and stayed with Obelus B&B during our time in Rome! Not only did we get Great friendly service, but of the 5 B&Bs we stayed in in 5 different parts of the country, Obelus was the best and most affordable. One on the island of Ischia was nearly 3 times the price and not nearly as nice and definitely not as good of service. It was the only one we stayed in to have a security safe. The Wifi worked instantly and flawlessly. (this was not the case everywhere if they even had Wifi) And the breakfast was the best! It was only 5 minuet walk to the subway station and for 4 Euros each all day bus and train passes gave us easy access to the entire city and a ride back to the room in the evening. The staff spoke English and gave good advice for sightseeing. If I were going back to Rome I would definitely stay with Obelus again. If you are considering It I would Also Highly recommend a daytrip to the city of Tivoly and the Villa D'Este, that was one of the staff's recommendations and was one of our favorite spots of the trip!
