“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 19 October 2010

I stayed for 3 nights and had a great time in Rome. Very good location (near Metro and historic centre) and clean room with bathroom. Nice breakfast to start the day. Very kind and helpful staff.

I wanted to see the game AS Roma - Genoa and Sal came along with me to the AS Roma shop to arrange the tickets. He also suggested some non-touristic restaurants with great Italian food.

Highly recommended!

If you're looking for high end luxury, then this is not the place for you.
However, if you're looking a very clean, comfortable, excellently located apartment type of living in Rome, then this is definitely the place for you. You get your money's worth and more.
Your hosts, Sal & Lisa are simply amazing!! There is nothing they will not do for you to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We felt like we were really living with the locals...... Our rooms were exactly what we needed. The breaksfast was a great little start to our day. We had use of Sal's laptop which was an added surprise as I didn't realize we had free internet. All in all.....definitely a keeper:)

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was nice. The location was very convenient for us, since it was near the train station and metro. This made it easy to get around without renting a car. It was also about a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum. We mostly walked everywhere, but after a few days of walking on cobblestone streets and sidewalks, our feet appreciated the proximity of the B&B to the metro.

The absolute best thing about Obelus B&B are Sal, Lisa, and Liisi. They will immediately make you feel at home and like you are old friends. They were also happy to offer recommendations and assistance for anything we needed.

Sal especially went above and beyond expectations. He gave us a ride to the train station one morning when we needed to catch a 5:50 am train to Assisi. He also provided a ride to the airport at 4 am for less than we would have had to pay for a cab (if we could have found one at that hour).

For location, price, and service, we highly recommend this B&B.

This is a nice, quiet and comfortable B&B. Only three rooms. We stayed in the triple which is very large with high seelings. We had a look at the double and found that small. No place for a small table or chair; it's only the big bed but with balcony! No view though.
The double is allright but ofcourse the spacious triple is more comfortable.
The service is excellent. Great help and tips how to travel through Rome.
Excellent breakfast as well and ofcourse very important: good beds and a quit night thanks to the aiarconditioning which allow you to keep the windows closed.
It is only a 15 minute walk from the Colloseum in a quiet street.

Very reasonably priced and great location - close enough to be accessible everything (metro station just around the corner, Colosseum less than a 10 min walk away) but distant enough to be in a quiet area away from all the crowds! Rooms were clean, we stayed in a triple which we found to be quite spacious. We couldn't connect to the free wi-fi for some reason but there was even a computer and printer there for all guests to use.

Breakfast was well-presented, tasty and there was so much of it! And Sal was a great help with everything. He was there to welcome us with a drink even though our flight was delayed and we arrived around midnight. He also very kindly accompanied us on our hour-long hunt for a travel agent nearby! A very knowledgeable and helpful host who really added to our overall trip to Rome.

We spent 11 Days in Obelus B&B and so we had a bit more time to get in contact with the owner Salvatore and also Liisi and Luna. They were so helpful; we got so many tips leading us to places we wouldn’t have seen without them. I’m also talking about culinary insider tips that only locals can find. But not only their advice was worth gold, but also the service is just perfect: a very good breakfast (including Cappuccino on demand), absolutely clean apartments and bathrooms, regularly changed towels, WIFI-connection or access via the available computer. This B&B is very comfortable, with a family atmosphere, very international (all English speaking), friendly and everyone is constantly keen to make your stay as enjoyable as possible – or have you ever had the choice between three different kinds of coffee, or did a hotel owner ever offer free shuttle service? Here we got it …
By the way, the B&B location is just excellent, quiet and just 3 minutes to the next subway station or one of the main bus stations. You can also walk; it’s not more than 10 min to the Colloseum (already downtown) or a 3 minutes walk to – according to our guide – the tallest Egyptian obelisk of the world.
After 11 days we know that a trip to Rom can be a wonderful and pleasant experience – thanks to this amazing city but also the B&B Obelus and its team.
Salvatore, Liisi and Luna thank you again – also for the champagne
