“I like the Condotti”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

This was my third time visiting, and our first experience in the Palace instead of the Hotel. I was taken aback by the different character of the Palace, but grew to love the extra space and modern amenities. Just around the corner at a non-descript door, it wasn't a far walk to the front desk and generous breakfast. We had a back room with a balcony, quiet, although a bit dark. Their accommodating staff helped with baggage, dinner reservations, transportation recommendations, and airport transfer.

Dear friends,

Thank you for choosing Condotti every time you are in Rome! It is nice for us to hear that you had a nice experience also at the Condotti Palace, the new part of the Hotel Condotti. Only 25 metres far from the main building, but with same cathegory of the rooms, this dependance offers the same comfort like the main hotel.

In the hart of the city, in one of most appreciated area of Rome, the Spanish Steps, the hotel and also the Condotti Palace are located on quiet streets. One of the rooms have a small balcony, overlooking the internal courtyard. The rooms for the families are also located at Condotti Palace (you can have a look on our offical website for pictures and more information).

Thank you for having appreciated our enriched continental breakfast; we offer fresh and genuine products; by real italians, we are very careful at the selection of the ingredients that can offer you the energy for a good start of the day.

We expect you the next time you are in Rome; on the main hotel or at Condotti Palace, it will be our pleasure to welcome you back!

Best regards,
Daniela

We spent 2 nights in a great superior room, large and modern. Nice welcome and very sweet house keeping Italian lady. The Palace is a bit overpriced though, in spite of the location. It is actually in a separate building where for any question or breakfast you have to go to the hotel. Breakfast is poor and in a tiny basement. We only had it once at the hotel. The first day we found two staff members (housekeeping) having ice cream in the stairs and it smelled of smoke. The second day we found the 2 same staff members sitting in the roof garden and smoking. We understand they work hard but why not take breaks elsewhere, and smoke outside of the hotel?

We stayed at Condotti Palace for 4 nights on our recent trip to Italy.

It's a small boutique hotel at an excellent location, just one block off Spanish Steps. It is very close to all the main sightseeing attractions (5 min to Trevi fountain, 20 min to Forum, 30 min to Vatican - all walking). It is surrounded by many nice restaurants, albeit most of them tend to be more of touristic fare than authentic Italian but some of them do offer pretty good food (especially Al 34 next door). Also, alot of shops and stores are in the area, from lower range to the famous expensive brand boutiques.

Our room was just basic double, small by american standards but pretty much regular size for European 3 - 4 star hotel. It was, however, very clean and had a nice bathroom. The mattress was pretty hard but turned out to be very comfortable, to our surprise. There were some cookies and coffee left daily in the room (soft breakfast) but we didn't eat them. Lobby is located around the corner at Hotel Condotti, which was a two second walk and a non-issue.

Staff was really excellent - professional and friendly. I forgot their names, unfortunately, but everyone during our stay was very helpful and polite (and funny). There are water and juice coolers/dispensers in the lobby, as well as computer free for customer's use.

The only complaint, there was a street construction right under our window and it woke us up early couple times during the week. Also, walls are somewhat thin, as we could hear our neighbors (granted, they were pretty loud :-) .

So, overall, I recommend this hotel, just don't expect anything special in terms of design and size. As I mentioned, it is a basic room but the location, cleanliness and hotel staff make it a very good choice. Trip to Rome is not a hotel vacation anyway, you should not spend much time inside your room :-)

I love the location, which is just a block from via del corso which is a shopping area. It's also 5 minutes walk to Spanish steps and Metro. We pretty much walk to everywhere. The staffs are wonderful, very friendly, and helpful. In the lobby, they always have cold fruity drinks and water, a very nice touch especially during the summer. Our room has a very nice decor, it's like entering a nice and comfy apartments. One thing that I didn't like is the wall is pretty thin between rooms, so I can pretty much hear what the next door neighbors were doing, but since I am not a light sleeper it didn't bug me much. Other than that it's a very recommended hotel. We definitely will stay here again when we come back to Rome.

Room Tip: Higher floors for better view. We stayed in 3rd floors, we like the view

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for your stay and also for your comment! For shopping or for sightseeing, Condotti with his location is the perfect choise for who is visiting Rome.

Having a room in our separate building gives you the possibilty to feel like having your appartment in Rome. All the staff is trying to offer you a warm welcome and a warm atmosphere during your stay, in order to have an enjoyble stay. May be next time you will try a room in our main building; are more quiet.

Hoping to see you again in the future, we send you

Kind Regards,

Daniela

I lived in Rome for many years and you cannot get a better location than this hotel.
The rooms are more spacious than expected (for Rome). The service is excellent.
We had major construction in the street, but at night and during the day we could not hear anything.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

Very near Spanish Steps. Other sites nearby are Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Capitol. Lots of restaurants and shops near the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. Good breakfast selection. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

are prompt and responsive. Stayed at the annex building.. short walk but there was a cheerful porter who assisted with our luggage. A pity that breakfast was chargeable for guests who stay at the annex building.

Verdict is I will stay here again the next time I visit rome.

Dear Friends,

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay in Rome! Our purpose is to assist you the best we can during your stay, in order to have a nice holiday!

All the rooms in the separate building have a soft breakfast in the room included; it is a more economic solution for who wants to stay in the high center of Rome and who do not want to depend on the breakfast time. The rooms in the main hotel have the continental breakfast included in the rate, but also cost more.

We will be glad to have you in our hotel in the future! We suggest you to contact us directly in order to have a good deal for the price.

We send you all our best regards,

Daniela
