We loved the location. The staff was excellent, in particular Balentino was awesome. He told us the best places to eat nearby and the best ways to get around (which metro line to take and where to switch lines, etc), great great guy. For the price, you can't beat it. It was clean and had everything we needed at a reasonable price, especially for the area. Within a few steps of the front door you are looking at the Colosseum!

Room Tip: There is definitely city noise at night, but not ridiculous

The hotel Rosetta is a very nice place with a very nice family running the place. It's 3 minutes walk to Colosseum and other attractions, and not far away from Roma Termini (central train station). The room is very clean but a bit tiny...if you're on budget and don't mind the small place with the great service, this is definitely the place!

We stayed at Hotel Rosetta for 6 nights, and everything was perfect. Location may be the best hotel in Rome. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and kind. During the time my stayed, I adopted the hotel like as my own home.

I loved the friendly people who greeted us each time at the desk. This is a small family run operation yet the desk was staffed 24/7. It was a little old fashioned in that sincere and respectful customer service was important. The environment was authentically Roman, with one of those huge doors that are so European opening onto a courtyard, and nearby sidewalk cafes. It is very close to the Coliseum and Forum. Clean and quaint. On second floor with no elevator but the nice man at the desk helped me with my suitcase. I would definitely go back. It is not like corporate owned places. There is a lobby area that is like a mini living room with computer and printer access. Free WiFi. Convenient to public transportation and not too far from Termini Train Station.

First off, keep a mind that this hotel has a one star rating so keep your expectations reasonable and you won't be disappointed. For us, this place was nearly perfect; friendly reception, excellent location, clean room and comfortable bed. You won't get washcloths (like most of Europe so bring your own). A/C worked great and very little street noise but we use a white noise app so wouldn't bother us anyway. There is noise from locking/unlocking doors. The bathroom is small, functional and came with a bit of an outhouse smell but not too bad. It's a five minute walk to the Colosseum (and Metro), not much further to the Forum and within thirty minutes walking to everything else. It's a twenty minute walk to the train station (exit the front doors, walk to the light, cross the street, stay one the right hand side and follow it to the hotel. Notice that the hotel sign is small and flat against the wall so you won't notice it if you're not looking. Glance to you're left and if you catch a view of the Colosseum, you're close). We would certainly stay again.
