This luxury bed & breakfast is a true gem. The bedrooms are beautiful and the sitting room, dining room, courtyard and terrace are all stunning. We had a fabulous stay in a complete oasis tucked away behind large doors leading onto a street in Trastevere. Whilst there are fabulous bars and restaurants within a few paces, BG is magically quiet - a real haven. Luisa, to whom the house belongs, is a fantastic, charming and helpful host who gave us lots of great suggestions of places to eat and shop. The housekeeping staff were really lovely- nothing is too much trouble for them. Delicious breakfast with mouth-watering homemade cakes amongst other delicacies. Fabulous!

Room Tip: The first floor room has a wonderful roof terrace

We have had a fantastic time in this quiet spot just steps from some of Rome's best sights and restaurants. This is a truly luxurious B&B with great charm and character. Here for my birthday we were given the warmest of welcomes and even a gorgeous birthday cake!
We can't speak more highly of this find and look forward to returning sometime soon.

We stayed at the Buonanotte for three nights this September, we had a wonderful stay the location is excellent just a short walk into the center of town. Just out the front door there are several restaurants to choose from which where excellent. David who looks after the day to day running of the place looked after us very well and nothing to much trouble. The owner Luisa was equally as helpful its really like staying in her home. If we return to Rome we would love to stay here again.

Room Tip: Rome room has its own private terrace which is lovely

Staying at Buonanotte Garibaldi was absolutely delightful in every single way. It was a welcome oasis before and after a busy day of exploring the Rome streets and sights. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants a beautiful, comfortable place to stay in a trendy neighborhood close to the spectacular sights of Rome.

What a gem! A great find. My husband and I recently stayed there for 6 nights and enjoyed the comfort and tranquil luxury atmosphere of Buonanotte Garibaldi. We had the option of staying free at big luxury hotels like Eden or St. Regis... but decided on this little B & B and don't regret it a bit.
First of all it is located in a quiet cobbled stones street in Trastevere, only two blocks from the Tiber river and very central to all the Roman major sites. The area is full of cafes and little shops but not the horde of tourists that one encounters all around Rome. We felt like Romans staying in our own place with staff to complement our stay. We were welcomed by David the polite caring housekeeper when arrived from a long plane ride from Los Angeles. He magically appeared every time we arrived from a long day of site seeing with a tray of tea, cookies and fresh cut melons OR whenever we needed something and otherwise disappeared which made us feel at the home around the premises. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits, cold cuts, eggs, fresh bread and baked goods served in the beautiful dining room every morning.
Luisa the elegant owner is also a talented artist; her work will be on display in the prestigious Venice Art show this summer. The rooms are not big but that didn’t bother us; Louisa has used her beautiful hand painted silk and organza fabrics to decorate each room to perfection. She helped us to plan our site-seeing itinerary every day and made suggestions where to stop for lunch or coffee and made dinner reservations at her favorite places for us. She also sells her art work and one of a kind hand painted silk dresses, skirts or tops which is designed by her and sewed by a dress maker in Milan. My only regret is that I didn't get to buy one of her beautiful art pieces or dresses. However, she gave me a couple of hand painted pouches as birthday gift.
Thank you Louisa and David for making our trip to Rome so memorable! We will be back if we are in Rome again.

Could not have found a better way to do rome. Can walk to all the must see tourist sites but how lovely to come back to this home-comfort luxury away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Anyone who wants to feel like a local rather than a tourist should stay here. In the heart of trendy Trastevere its a no brainier for the traveller who like us ,hates big fussy hotels but likes simplistic luxury . Thanks to louisa and david for all your help.

We have just returned from Buonanotte Garibaldi and it didn't disappoint. We booked the Rome Room for our anniversary and loved sitting on the private roof terrace in the sunshine - especially as we still had snow in our garden at home! The staff were delightful (especially David) and Luisa, the owner, had lots of wonderful tips on where to eat and where to visit. Room and bathroom were not big but fine for what we needed and everything was immaculate and bed huge and very comfy. It is a real haven - quiet and in a great position. The area is busy but charming. Number 6, a restaurant just up the road, is very convenient when you have tired feet from exploring. Also good value.

Room Tip: Rome Room with its private terrace is lovely in good weather.
