Incredibly noisy. Every door has a snap close device that creates a resounding boom every time a door is closed. The doors also all have big gaps at the bottom so that the noise in the hallway is sure to make you feel like you are in the hallway. Even turning the key in the lock makes an enormous noise. The second time I entered my room I tried to turn the key slowly so that it would not make allot of noise in respect for the other guests. No can do, after the key has been turned halfway, the lock mechanism snaps around with loud clunk. Rooms do not have bathrooms which is not uncommon in Italy. One floor does not have a shower and the guests are required to go up a floor. The single rooms are very small. The desk staff does speak English well and a couple of other languages. One young Asian desk man is an incredible jerk, the other two desk workers were helpful and considerate. At 50 Euro per night in November there are many better hotels nearby. Learn from my bad experience and do not get lured to this hotel because it is so close to Termini, a 5 minute extra walk from another Hotel will be offset with more than 4 hours of sleep and an extra 10 -15 Euro in your pocket.

Room Tip: If you go against my advice and brave the conditions at this hotel, do not accept a room that is on...

paid 30 euros for a night in a single with a shared bathroom. It was fine and is perfectly located outside the Termini Station and the bus stop for transfer to the airport.

Reception is 24 hours - i had to leave at 4.30am. The reception staff spoke good english, provided a map and a discount voucher for the pizza / kebab shop next door.

Clearly not a luxury establishement for for the price its decent.

The receptionist can handle customer well and speak english. No wireless but provide internet with fee. The room and bathroom is just ok but not so pleasant. This hotel is cheap and suitable for solo traveler who dont cares and just want to have a sleep there. For honeymoon please find somewhere else. For backpackers and on budget can take this hotel. Have a good breakfast which offer coffee, juice, cereal, bread, tea, and milk.

Positioned opposite termini making everywhere easy to get too, the marsala is a budget hotel which only has shared bathrooms and toilets but there kept clean all day. The rooms are plain with enough space to relax, there not modern just a table and chairs, wardrobe, bed, ceiling fan, and a fridge. Staff were all fab and helpfull and breakfast was great, worth much more than we paid

We stayed here two nights trying to stick to a budget. It was the worst decision I have made all trip.. no ever! The staff were very rude and unfriendly for starters, then when we saw our room it looked like a place people go to die, I did not want to spend one minute in it let alone two nights. The shared bathroom was disgusting and I felt like I would catch a disease just sitting on the toilet. The hotel doesnt have free wifi either so we had to pay 8 euro to use it for 8 hours. When they gave us the wifi code I typed it in my phone just to quickly check some emails, then when I put the code into my laptop to book accomodation and etc it wouldnt work, so I went downstairs and the guy said "one password one machine" I asked very nicely if I could cancel that one then as I really needed the net for my laptop and was only on my phone for a minute. He bluntly refused me and then acted like I was an idiot for thinking the wifi would be open to use from any device, when it doesnt say anywhere that that was the case. The sleep was also terrible as the bed is bumpy and the pillows are paper thin. What more is there really to say but don't go there! Also worth noting that even though this is budget accomodation I managed to find a hotel that was ten times better on my next trip that is only 5 euro more expensive.

No air but a very noisy fan, rooms are not clean at all, the staff is rude. The only good thing? 2 minutes from train station. the price of 85 dollars was way high for this lousy hotel/motel. The staff was very annoying and kept of serving other customers while not completing any transactions. The water bottle 2.50 euro and the guy did not want to issue a fiscal receipt..

Room Tip: do not book a room there, there are plenty of hotels in rome if you book in advance of 1 week that i...

We stayed there for only one night, because we were waiting for a connecting flight next day and we didn't want to stay at the very expensive hotels at the airport area. That's the main reason why we chose Hotel Marsala- it is located just in front of the main railway station Termini - good location for those who are continuing their trip elsewhere on the next day, either by train or by plane (the stops of airport shuttles to both Fiumicino and Ciampino are almost in front of the hotel too). On the other hand, the location has also a big inconvenient- it's noisy all day (and night!!!) long and the surroundings are not so nice. But it's perfect if you are arriving late in the evening - you will be always able to find a pizzeria or a kebab seller open until 2.a.m.

The hotel wasn't luxurious at all, rather shabby but clean. In one sentence, it proposes a very basic accomodation, with one tiny bathroom on the corridor (with the closet within!) shared with other +/- 10 people.(It has also some rooms with private bathrooms, but those are more expensive). Very noisy doors that can be closed only by slamming them...Not very convenient with all the people leaving their rooms to use the bathroom, one by one...It was therefore rather difficult to sleep at night. No air conditionning, only noisy ventilators.

You cannot expect more for this price (45 euro), and it was more or less acceptable for one night stay. Nevertheless, next time, I am ready to spend more and have at least a minimum of comfort and quietude.
