Very good welcoming and services. The room was very clean and nice, bed is comfy and we were isolated from the street sound (even if the area is very calm). They bring your breakfast to the bed at the time you chose.

I recommend this Hotel, cheap and very good quality.

To join the Hotel from Fiumicino Airport, just take the Shuttle-Bus (rightside when exiting Terminal 3) it will bring you near the Castel Sant'Angello in 35minuts they you'll have to walk for 5 minutes !

This is a hotel that we would recommend anyone to stay at! The rooms are pretty, clean and has everything you need. The breakfast was also a nice touch, where you could decide for yourself what you wanted and at what time. As a hotel it's good but it's the two girls at the desk that makes staying at Roma Vaticano excellent! Lily and Giorgia are the sweet soul of the place and made our stay perfect! They were so sweet and helpful! We were there for our honeymoon and they had decorated our room with candles, flowers, champagne og chocolates. We will be back in a couple of years and when we do, we pray that Lily and Giorgia are there! We give Lily and Giorgia 5 out of 5 stars!

Hotel Roma Vaticano is an excellent hotel set a very short walk from St. Peter's Basilica in Rome (between 5 and 10). The rooms are small but ample with perfect air conditioning, comfy bed and lovely bathroom with good size shower. We enjoyed a 2 night stay here at the end of July and were welcomed by a lovely receptionist who gave us a map of the city and suggested places to visit and to eat. The fact we were allowed to leave our luggage free of charge after check out time was also really useful.
Would definitely recommend to all!

We stayed here 4 nights at the end of a month-long trip around Europe. One of the best things about this room was the bathroom. Finally, a big bathroom! It was brand new and nicely finished as well. Another reviewer mentioned the double-paned windows. This is important to note as there is street noise in a couple of the rooms. However, as long as you make sure the windows are closed at night, the room is quite quiet. Air-conditioning worked fine. Breakfast was served to our room at precisely the time requested each morning. Staff were all pleasant and could arrange tours etc.on request. This hotel is clean, well-located and well-run. It is about a 10-min. walk to the Vatican and about a 30 min walk to the Trastevere area. It is a safe area at night. No concerns walking around. The airport shuttle to Fiumicino airport is about a 5 min. walk from the hotel. Convenient.

We had a great experience at Hotel Roma Vaticano for a three night stay. With great breakfasts and walking distance to much of the sights of Rome and Vatican City, it was an excellent experience. Our host, Lilly, was so accommodating, even helping us book our transportation to the Amalfi Coast and on the last night she surprised us with champagne!

Definitely will stay again when back to Rome.

Our trip to Rome had an unexpected blip and we needed to fly into Rome a day early. The hotel we booked did not have any open rooms for the early day so we scrambled to find one that was close and well reviewed. I am so glad we stumbled on Hotel Roma Vaticano.
For the low price we paid for the one night we were comfortable. The staff was helpful, letting us leave our luggage there both when we arrived and after we had checked out (we went to the Vatican early and our other hotel was not ready until late afternoon). Plus the staff made reservations at the Vatican Museum for us (a MUST to skip the line). Breakfast brought to our room was just icing on the cake. Would of easily stayed for more nights had I known about this place before hand.
Rooms are a bit small as the hotel is only one floor and only a few rooms but are large enough to comfortably fit two. Air condition kept it comfortable in July. All in all a nice stay for a more than reasonable price.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in July. The location is brilliant for getting to the Vatican, and we even walked to and from the Colosseum from there (totally do-able, just wear comfortable shoes!). The area is quite quiet at night, so we tended to go a little further afield for dinner to get a little more atmosphere, however we always felt very safe walking around.

The staff were friendly, and although we didn't use them very much for advice, I'm sure they would've been more than willing to help - they frequently offered!

We stayed in the Colosseum room - which didn't feel small at all (contrary to some of the other reviews)! In fact, it could have easily accommodated a small table, which would've been useful for the breakfast in the morning. Amenities were all great and the room was very comfortable.

Overall - a really great choice that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend if being in a quiet, safe area is important, and you want to be close to the Vatican and metro. If you're looking for a lively "in the thick of it" place - it won't be the best choice.
