Had a wonderful stay at this property. Beautiful room, large and everything we needed. Very helpful staff and never treated you like you were a pain. My daughter had problems with her feet and on request they found her a bowl to soak her feet. We made a few requests and they were seen to with no delay. They were there 24 hours to help. We even called them at one in the morning and they helped straight away. Very good location and the restaurants in our street were great. You just look for the busy ones. We had accordion players under the window and loved the noise of the streets but has soon as you shut the windows it was gone. The breakfast was adequate and better than some I have experienced. I would have no problem on returning hear on another visit. Well done to all you staff at the Fontana.

The hotel is in a great location, we were able to view the Trevi fountain from the 3rd floor bar/breakfast area, and could easily walk to key attractions – Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Coliseum and even The Vatican. The room was very good, it looked out on to the street which was understandably noisy (atmospheric?) when open. The bathroom was adequate, recently renovated but the toilet pump seemed to have a noise issue, and the shower was awkwardly placed and difficult to enter. Our only gripe was on returning from a long day out our room had not been serviced. They did call and asked us to leave the room so they could clean it, but we were tired and asked them to come back later as we were going out for dinner, but they never did. We had to go down to reception on our late return to ask for towels and told them about the room. We were told it was our fault as we should have told them when we were going out! We would have appreciated at least some acknowledgment of the inconvenience on check-out and even an apology, but none was forth coming. The day was a Public Holiday and it appeared as if they were just saving money at our expense – we are understanding people and these things do happen, but their lack of concern and apology upset us - this is the main reason for writing this review.

We had 3 rooms with our family in the main building on one floor. Rooms were quaint with all the typical necessities. Not high end but certainly perfect for the price and location. Easy to walk just about anywhere but the Vatican. Wonderful breakfast with a stunning terrace. Staff was easy to work with and helpful. Evening cocktails on the terrace were wonderful and the bartender was great. I highly recommend this place. Just don't expect the Ritz.

This hotel is right next to the famous Trevi Fountain and walking distance to a few other fantastic attractions.
The staff were lovely and friendly and the breakfast was included. Basic, but tasty. The restaurant was on the rooftop and overlooked the Trevi Fountain. Gorgeous.
Our room was spacious enough but we had no window out to the big wide world. So it was a shame not to have a view for our first trip to Rome. There was a window that opened onto a small garden with a very loud air conditioning unit. and when I say "garden" I mean about 1 metre square of grass, surrounded by concrete wall.
No other complaints though.
The hotel was close to a Laundromat which was very helpful since we were away from home for five weeks.
There was no elevator so we had to drag our heavy bags up the stairs.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a window that looks out onto something other than an air conditioning unit!

We spent a long weekend in Rome and stayed in this hotel. They had organised transfer from the airport for us, which worked fine, altough did cost 60€. When we arrived, the room was not yet ready, so we went for lunch in one of the many restaurants close by. Welcome in the hotel was very friendly, during our whole stay all staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room we had was great, relatively big, with partial view of theTrevi Fountain. In spite of big crowds there, also late in the evening, it was quiet in the room, when we closed the window.
The location of the hotel could not be better, we did all sightseeing and shopping by foot. It is only 10 minutes walking to the Spanish Steps or the Pantheon, half an hour walk to the Colosseum or St. Peters. The main shopping strets are close by, so are many Restaurants.
Breakfast is served on a nice little terrace, again with view of the Trevi Fountain.

We were moved to this hotel after our original hotel was overbooked- it definitely worked out for the best! The location was great, just round the corner from the Trevi Fountain, so within walking distance of almost all the sights. The Metro is only a five-ten minute walk away for any bigger distances, and there are lots of decent restaurants only a short walk away.

Judging from other reviews and the hotel's website, our room was a superior room- one of the biggest I've ever had in Europe and nicely furnished in a traditional Italian style with lots of character. We had a street-facing room, and although it was quite noisy with the window open, once the shutters and windows were closed there was barely any noise. The air conditioning was very effective too! While the bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure, the toilet pump was very loud and not very effective. There are stairs even if you choose to take the elevator, but a member of staff will take your bags up to your room and back to reception.

Room Tip: The extra size and street view are a great touch in the superior room.

Fabulous place to stay, especially if you get the room in which you can see the fountain from. The place is right where the action is and beautiful. The top of the building is the restaurant and you get wonderful views from there also. Would definitely stay there again.
