“Little gem of a hotel.”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

My wife, teenage daughter and I have just returned from our 7 night stay at the Relais Fontana Di Trevi. What a gem of a hotel! From the outside the entrance and reception give the appearance of a small hotel but once inside the same opens out like the TARDIS into a sizeable hotel. The hotel has a roof top bar and breakfast area that overlooks the fountain although the fountain was currently undergoing renovation at the time of our stay.We took out the option of a triple superior room which in size was almost like a small suite and extremely well furnished and appointed throughout with a king size double and full single bed.The room also had a side view of the fountain area. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us especially Linda on reception. The hotel is placed within easy walking distance of the Spanish steps,Pantheon,Piazza Navona and midway down the via Corsa. Free Wfi is available in the rooms as is a free safe.Would definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

Room Tip: Go for the superior rooms at the front of the hotel for fountain views

My wife and I stayed at the Relais Fontana Di Trevi for three nights pre and three nights post a 22 day Holland America Cruise. We found the location to be excellent , right next to the fountain and many small restaurants. It was also within walking distance of a main shopping precinct .The rooms were lovely , smaller by American standards but everything was there and was clean and comfortable. We loved the quaint windows with shutters. We found the room very quiet and could not hear our neighbours. The staff who booked us in , carried our bags up and manned the front desk were simply wonderful. They were just so friendly and helpful so much so we presented them with a bottle of Champagne on departure.
It was wonderful to eat breakfast on the fourth floor , on an outside terrace overlooking the Trevis Fountain. Unfortunately the fountain is currently under repair but this did not take anything away from our experience nor was there any noise from the works.
All up , we unreserveably recommend the Relais Fontana Di Trevi hotel and its wonderful staff. We would not stay anywhere else if we return to Rome.

My girlfriend and I recently traveled through Tuscany, having spent the previous year in Rome and Naples. I had planned for us to return to Rome, for the day, with the sole purpose of proposing.

While we weren't staying a night, and thus couldn't book a room, the Relais Fontana Di Trevi allowed me to book the terrace for an hour. The terrace of the hotel is utterly stunning and has a gorgeous view of the Trevi Fountain. The fountain is currently a little spoiled, in that it's being restored and has scaffolding around it, but that's no fault of the Hotel.

The Hotel kindly let me pre-buy some Ferrari (an Italian Champagne equivalent) and I had arranged for a violinist to play my girlfriend's favourite tune (amongst others). I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me, with a temporary "Pizza ring" - as I knew she'd want to pick her own real one. She said yes! :)

Huge thanks to the wonderful Hotel and we'll be back in the future, possibly for our Honeymoon.

Amazing hotel. Breakfast on the first day was very confusing, only one waiter for eight tables and the poor man was trying so hard to get coffee orders right but didnt quite make it.There are tea.coffee facilities in the rooms but no milk you have to go down to reception order the milk then they send a waiter up with this, something we didn't understand as there is a fridge in the room.
Wifi was also unavailable, but the biggest disappointment was that my husband had booked champagne for the room as it was part of our honeymoon,a surprise present for me,but it never appeared, when he mentioned this the next day we were told that he should of reminded them at check in,as it was booked and a surprise he didn't think that was necessary,so feel dismayed at that service..still a lovely place to stay though.

On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the room was great, clean, bed comfy, breakfast lovely overlooking the fountain. Would book this everytime if I was going again. You are right in the heart of a great street for shopping and great restaurants.
