If you're looking for a large, name-brand hotel with big, crowded lobby or rooftop lounge and inhouse restaurant, Residenza Domiziano is not for you. However, if you're looking for a delightful, small, well-kept and secure property in a convenient location, you ought to check out Residenza Domiziano. What makes it stand out from other hotels I've stayed at in both the US and abroad is the high customer service and personal attention provided by the employees. In particular, Viki's assistance and recommendations added immensely to my recent Roman holiday. Whether providing information on the fast train to Florence, or providing dinner recommendations (and making the reservations, ensuring that the restaurant's maitre d' would greet us enthusiastically and provide excellent service) or checking us in for our return flight home while we were still exploring Rome, Viki took on every request and even offered additional ways to help enhance our stay. I hope to return to Rome soon and will definitely plan on staying at the Residenza Domiziano again!

This was my second stay at Residenza Domiziano near Barberini Square. It's a perfect location offering an easy walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Termini Station. Everything you need is just steps away: ATM, Metro station, cafes, shopping, theatre. Stroll nearby Via Rasella if you are interested in WWII history then make the trip to the Fosse Ardeatine monument. In addition to its ideal location, Residenza Domiziano has an incredible staff. Anything you need, just ask. Viki goes out of his way to make your stay perfect, and the continental breakfast delivered to your room each morning makes you feel as if you're living in Rome, not just visiting. Email ahead and Viki will arrange car service from/to the airport. Perfetto!

Room Tip: Some rooms face the street while others face the courtyard. It's a quiet area but there can be some sound from passing scooters, etc. Pack earplugs if you are sensitive to noise at night. Some rooms have tubs, others showers. Email ahead with special requests.

This B&B is one block from Piazza Navonna. Tomasso the owner is a great guy and helped make our stay great. The room was clean and a/ c worked great. He directed us to two great local restaurants and helped buy advance tickets to attractions. A little noisy at night because of the location but nothing terrible. We didn't lose any sleep. The Vatican, Campo D' Fiore, Pantheon and Trevi Fountain are all a short walk . The only drawback is the breakfast is offsite but if you plan the Vatican the breakfast spot is on the way.

This is our second succesive October in Rome at this hotel at what is going to be an annual pilgramage to thiis wonderful city which offers us (on most days) lovely weather compared to our home in London. This hotel has become a home from home for my wife and I as the manager Vicky and his staff really take care of all our needs. All our city tours and visits (which this year included the wonderful Borghese gallery and the stunning vatican museums) were taken care of by the multi-lingual and multi-talented Vicky and his splendid staff. Almost all the main sites including the Pantheon, Spanish steps, Trevi fountain are within walking distance of the hotel. The room we stayed in had all that we needed including a fridge, safe, free wifi and was spotlessly clean. Though it has a central location very close to the Barberini metro station it is in a quiet side-street which meant we could enjoy noise free sleep each night of our 4 night stay.

We will defintately be back in October 2014..

This was our first time staying in a Bed and Breakfast. I have to say, when we come to visit Rome again, we'll be staying here. It is in the heart of everything and there is a metro stop just a few blocks away from the "hotel." Many reviews say that if you stay near the Spanish Steps it is too noisy, this place is about a 10minute walk to the Spanish Steps, so there is no noise. The staff are wonderful! Very informative. The hotel was a little difficult to find and you have to press a buzzer to have someone let you in. Note, the buzzer is on the main street by the large double wooden doors. Also, whenever you leave the "hotel," they ask that you leave your key. It was an odd request at first, but there is no chance of losing your room key or having the key stolen. Breakfast is brought to your room every morning at the time you select. Basically, every time you leave you're greeted by someone and every time you return you're greeted by someone; it is very welcoming. The continental breakfast consists of croissants and rolls with jelly/butter and your choice of drinks. Eggs and such cost extra.
