Stayed for 4 days in the remote suite. Looks like recently renovated. Clean, equipped with kitchenette. WiFi signal is very weak. Good value for money. 10 minutes walk from the forum, 20 min from Central bus station, lots of wonderful ice cream, coffee places etc' very close by. Small and quiet street.

We were after a comfortable place to recover after working around a wonderful city, and boy did we walk. The Artorius has no Aires and Graces just a comfortable, reasonably priced Hotel in the perfect, actually better than perfect location. the staff were welcoming, the breakfast set us up for the day and when we had questions, whoever was on reception did all they could to help us out

We stayed here during Easter week 2014. As has been said you shouldn't expect a Premier Inn style hotel. This is a much more personal experience than that. It has been suggested by others that you should consider this as a B&B and maybe you should, but is that a bad thing? My wife and I have stayed in everything from 5* hotels in the center of London and Manchester and Travel Lodges in Cambridgeshire and we would definitely stay at the Artorius again. We also would never pay the money to stay in the Park Plaza London again. I'm not saying the Artorius is better than the Park Plaza what I am saying is I was disappointed with it and my wife and I were were very definitely not disappointed with the Artorius. It's a great little hotel with great staff in a great location. Spot on.

It's hard to be objective about this hotel without considering its location but I'll try. We stayed here in February 2014 for a one week Rome visit. It's a small 2 star family run hotel and you should consider it more like a bed and breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful with directions, maps and so on. It has no bar or hallway to speak of, breakfast is held in the courtyard behind the hotel. Our room was 109, a triple room which had a sofa and an outside terrace with a table and chairs. This was fine but there was no view at all. The room was large with high ceilings and very clean. It had a TV and SKY was available although I don't know the price. It was very quiet at night so you can get a good uninterrupted sleep. The security at the hotel is very good, there are cameras in all the public areas and the main door buzzes when it opens.

Breakfast is excellent, let down by the artificial orange juice which someone else mentioned, it's very sweet. Someone also mentioned the plastic undersheet on the bed. We took this off but the maids kept putting it back on. I think it's only there to hold the single beds together to make up a double rather than anything else. The beds and bedding was fine.

Something worth noting is the mini-bar. For the first time in my life I found one where the prices are reasonable. 1 Euro for water, 1.50 for a beer and 2 for a small bottle of wine. This was very fair and for once we used the fridge in the room. If you're used to 4 Euro for a small bottle of water then this will be a pleasant surprise.

The hotel will organise a taxi from the airport and back again. I used this service, it's 55 Euro from the airport and if you use the same taxi to go back it's 50 Euro. The train is 14 Euro per passenger and there were three of us so considering that the train will only take you to the station in town and you'll have to get a taxi anyway or walk to the hotel, I thought 55 Euro was a reasonable deal.

And now the location. The hotel is set in a trendy street which has at least two restaurants which have Tripadvisor 2013 excellence awards. It's a short walk to the Coliseum going south, and a little further to Trevi Fountain going the other way. It's really central and if you're motivated you can even walk to the Vatican although we took the metro, another short walk away. It cost 140 Euro per night for the triple room with breakfast. All things considered, It's excellent, go here, you won’t be disappointed.

Room Tip: Nothing to do with the hotel but do reserve tickets for the Vatican and Coliseum in advance. The que...

Like some of the other reviews I've seen on this hotel, I was a little pessimistic that it would be as good as the hype. Great central location, the room was great value. The mini bar prices were reasonable. Rooms equipped with Sky and WiFi issues must have been resolved, as we had no problems. Good range for breakfast too. A great eye for detail in this hotel..dolphin design in the cappuchino, breakfast laid out beautifully. Necessary no, nice yes! Will return, I have a coin in the Trevi that says so....

Hotel Artorius was the perfect place to stay during our trip to Rome! It was within walking distance of several major sites and lots of great restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very nice to spend time with us and give us recommendations everytime we stopped by the front desk. The rooms were nice and large. The complimentary breakfast was DELICIOUS - and the little smiley face in my cappuccino was icing on the cake. Would definitely stay here again.

It is a nice hotel with very friendly staff. It was my first time in Rome and the hotel was easy to find only 15-20 min walk from Termini. The Hotels location is good easy to walk to the major must see places. There are several restaurants nearby and a minimarket just in front of the hotel. The room was nothing out of the extraordinary , good size and clean. Breakfast included is always nice. I can with easiy recommend this hotel
