“Excellent Location and Service”
Reviewed 1 July 2013

Our family of 8 booked four rooms for a one night stay in Rome and we were extremely happy with the quality and service of this hotel. Not only did they hold our bags for us before check in time while we went our on a tour, one of our party left her camera at the front desk accidentally during check in and they promptly called our room to let us know. The front desk helped to coordinate taxis for us in the early morning to take us to the airport. The rooms themselves were well decorated and had all of the modern conveniences you could desire. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean and nicely designed. The location of the hotel was great as it was just a few minutes walk from the Colosseum. We will submit some photos later to expand our review.

We spent my first night here last night and there are 2 more to go.

We booked the hotel through the hotel own website, so we got an upgrade to a bigger room with jacuzzi. The size of the room is good but the quality of the mattress, bedsheets and pillows are HORRIBLE!! You can feel every single spring separately and they keep stinging on you instead of supporting you. Once you sit on the mattress, it will go all the way down till the bottom of it. The hotel only provide 2 very flat and cheap quality pillows for a king size bed. You won't be possible to sleep on those pillows. I asked them to give us 2 more, but they answered us that they run out of pillows. We were very tired after walking around the city the whole day yesterday, so we were able to sleep. But this morning when I woke up, my neck was super painful and I can't turn my head to the right side. This is really bad! We have to spend 2 more nights here in this hotel. I am so regret that we chose this hotel.

For the good side, this hotel is in great location and the breakfast is good. We stayed in 5 different hotels in our Italy trip. This hotel got the worse bed mattress but this is the only hotel get stable Wifi internet so far.

Room Tip: Book through the hotel own website and get free upgrade. Only choose this hotel if you are not pic...

Location is great, near center and a metro station.

The rooms are not soundproof so you hear EVERYTHING what happens on the next rooms and in the hallway.
The air conditioner has a panel but you can´t control it so you will have 18ºC at all time and there is no way to change it. The hotel staff won´t do it for you neither. Since I was cold, I took out the blanket from the closet and it was REALLY DIRTY. It had stains and hair all over it... disgusting. Again, the hotel staff won´t come to your room to change it.

The bathroom is huge and clean and the breakfast is good.

I won´t recommend it because you cannot rest in a cold and noisy place

Room Tip: If you decide to stay here, bring your own blanket and try to get a room at the end of the hallway

My sister and I checked in to a room with 2 twin beds overlooking the schoolyard below. We were both impressed with the accommodations for the bargain price. Our stay was short, (3 nts) and we didn't have any issues. The front desk crew was extremely helpful and printed out our Coliseum Tickets and boarding passes with no hassle. They also went over a map of Rome with us upon check-in.

The location was just what we needed. Very close to the Coliseum and Forum area and just around the corner from the Metro. Unfortunately, since we were so close to this particular area it seemed easy to get sucked in to the touristy restaurants. Research before you eat!

All in all an excellent stay. It met our needs.

Room Tip: 4th floor was great

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in may,
Location:
the hotel is 15 min walk to the colosseum,
have nice restaurants nearby and the metro station is 2 blocks away.

Great for city visit

Rooms:
The rooms are very small, but if you're planning on visiting the city you won't be staying in the rooms for a long time, so it's not really a problem.
rooms are clean and have a TV and AC

Breakfast:
breakfast is excellent with a lot of choice.

Staff:
the staff is really nice, speaks english well and always helpful,
especially Mirta

will consider for next visit.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Eurostar St. John in Rome. Excellent accommodation, room and service (Roberta was extremely friendly and helpful). Very close to the Colosseum and an easy bus to to other attractions. We had breakfast only once at the restaurant and were disappointed. The coffee was from a machine and the scrambled eggs were inedible. The bread and pastry, however, were fabulous.

We stayed in march in this hotel for a city visit of Rome. The location is 10 min walking to the Colosseum. Also you can take the bus to city center. THe bus 2 minutes close to the hotel.

We got a regular room that was nice, very clean and warm, although outside was a little cold. The bathroom is decent size also very clean.

We had no breakfast included so i cannot tell many things about it. However you could find easily nice places around to take the breakfast.

The price was good for the value of the hotel. Was just the weekend of electing the pope so was quite full the city. However 260 Euro/room/2 nights is not cheap price.

The hotel is good for city trip and visit. I guess for business is also a good choice. They had free wifi so that was a good thing.

Parking is crazy as you have to be lucky to find a parking place other then garages.

Will i come here again?
Maybe, if i can't find a better deal, either closer to the city center or cheaper.

Do i recommend?
In the same condition as above i recommend. I do think is a good choice unless you have better price or better location.

Room Tip: When you go out of the hotel take left instead of right. In the end of the street is the buss statio...
