“Frendly and cozi flat”
Reviewed 25 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The flat is comfortable and clean in a quiet and safe building. Location is convenient for the tourists in the neiborhood of the Rome's sightseeings and the evening life. The owner Patrizia very kind and helpful. Book it for a low budget stay without great reductions during your leisure time

“Great place”
Reviewed 14 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Very near trastevere station. Good access to bus taxi train. If you have a lot of luggage better to take a taxi from the train station to the apartment. Patricia was kind, help and lives close by. Supermarket, shopping streets close by. The area is decent. Apartment was clean & spacious. Easy access to the beach by train. If there are 4 people it is better to use taxi rather than metro or tram.

“Great flat to explore Rome!”
Reviewed 5 November 2012 for a stay in September 2012

My finance and I stayed at Domus Trastevere for 4 nights in September 2012, and found it the perfect location to explore Rome. The flat was clean, modern, spacious and equipped with a kitchen, air conditioning and washing machine to make it feel a bit like home. The neighborhood is away from the touristy areas of Rome, and seems mostly like locals live there and seems safe. There is not much to do in the immediate area, but there are a couple cafes, restaurants and a supermarket close by once you leave the flat. The best part is this is right around the corner from Tram 8 which will take you 5-10 minutes to get to the heart of the main dining area of Trastevere (GREAT restaurants) and approximately 10-15 minutes to get into the heart of the historical center of Rome. It is also right around the corner from the train station which can take you to Termini station or other places in and out of Rome.

Public transportation was so convenient that we never walked into the city so I can't comment on how long that would take. We used the train or tram to get all around Rome, as well as the Vatican. Our stay was right in the middle of a 2+ week vacation in Italy, so we found this a perfect spot to catch up on laundry and be able to eat a few meals at home in the kitchen.

The price was affordable, and is cheaper than hotels in Rome if you consider the size of what you are getting (2-3 bedroom apartment with kitchen).

Patrizia was extremely responsive leading up to our stay, and when we made arrangements to pick up and drop off keys.

As long as you don't mind public transportation, and don't need to be right in the middle of the tourist city center, I would HIGHLY recommend this flat for up to 4-5 people wanting to explore Rome.

“Perfect location”
Reviewed 13 August 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We are a family of four with a 12 and 13 year old and we stayed in this apartment in July 2012. Its location is less than 5 minutes from the Roma Trastevere train station which proved a real bonus. Trams (no.8 to Largo Argentina) or the no.3 bus to the colisseum areas leave every 5 minutes or so and are cheap. If you want to walk, it is a beautiful stroll to the Pantheon area in about 35 minutes. The mainline train took us to a lovely beach north of Rome called Santa Marinella. It takes about 35 minutes and the beach is 5 minutes walk from the station. You have to pay for the umbrellas and beds (€50 for 2/4) but water is very clean. The apartment has all you need with one large double bedroom with a balcony looking out on a busy street, one large twin room-both with TVs and one small room which could be used a a third bedroom but our 13 year old found it to be a bit dark and it was not air conditioned. The kitchen is fine with a small table but as we ate out every day, we didnt cook in at all.
There is no living room as such which some might find a bit unusual but as we were out all day, it didnt matter too muchat and the bedrooms double up as living areas.
There is a large supermarket 3 minutes walk away.
In summary, Patrizias apartment is very reasonable, clean and perfect as a base to explore Rome.
