“Amazing view, great service and good food”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

Looking forward to returning to this restaurant - the view is amazing over Rome - just up from Piazza del Popolo and close to Borghese Park. The service was very good, attentive and polite staff, the food was delicious and wine list reasonable and extensive enough. Definitely recommend.

“A tourist trap? No way!”
Reviewed 18 September 2013

When dining at a supreme location such as "Casina Valadier" has it is natural to expect an over-priced culinary disaster coupled with short-tempered and snobbish service. I'm not sure how or why but this restaurant, which enjoy one of the most beautiful and delightful locations in a city full of beauty, does everything right. Set on the 2nd floor of a beautiful villa at the edge of Villa Burghese Park is has an amazing and unobstructed view of Rome, so anyone passing by (and a lot of people do!) immediately sees himself on the terrace, sipping a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and enjoying a truly breathtaking view. Unfortunately (for everyone else) but fortunately for us "Casina Valadier" is a serious restaurant with a tempting menu and serious prices. This attitude creates a haven of relaxation and luxury which is most welcome after a "squeeze" on the Spanish stairs. The bonus is the food, not "haute cuisine" with complicated dishes but straight forward quality cooking based on high-end products and proffessional delivery. In a city filled with cullinary disasters - "Casina Valadier" is an adress to cherish

“Amazing view over rome”
Reviewed 7 September 2013 via mobile

It should be the diner for your trip for a romantic tete a tete. Be aware that every dish is around 25 euros and nice long wine list. Location is stunnning a traditional villa in a small park you feel like home...

“Good food with breathtaking views of Rome. Service ok.”
Reviewed 27 May 2013

This restaurant is in the area of Villa Borghese. It has spectacular views of Rome and is set in the a very pretty early 20th century villa.

I was there for a big work function so I had to stick with a set menu. The starter and pasta dish were very nice and the beef for main course was beautifully cooked. Dessert (a cassata semifreddo) was, however, poor.

Service was not very attentive. I had to ask repeatedly for drinks and I was often simply ignored by the waiters who forgot what I had asked.
