My Dad and I recently went on a backpacking trip through Europe and Le Rose de Bi was one of the places that we stayed. We were greeted by Bin upon arrival and she communicated in limited English everything that we needed to know about Rome and the surrounding area. She was able to tell us where all the major sites were and how to get there using the metro or by walking. She also showed us where we could find a laundromat and where some good restaurants were in the area. The room was one of the largest that we stayed in during our entire trip. The tv had no English channels but this wasn't a problem as we weren't in Rome to stay in our room and watch tv. Toilet paper is not allowed to be flushed down the toilet in the en suite bathroom but there is one of the shared bathroom outside each of the rooms and toilet paper can be flushed down those toilets. Breakfast was sparse but we got accustom to buying croissants and bread for the mornings anyways. The room was cleaned by Bin everyday and all of our belongings were safe in the room as she was the only other person other than us going into our room and that was to clean. The B&B was located in an "international" area and there were many little corner stores and ethnic restaurants in the area. Overall I was extremely impressed by Le Rose de Bi and would recommend to anyone going to Rome needing cheap but excellent accommodations.

There were a few hiccups when we arrived- we booked through Cross Pollination and apparently booked for a day later than we thought. However, when we eventually communicated this, everything was fine! Bin, the woman who runs the Bed and Breakfast is very helpful and even found us a printer so that we could print our Vatican tickets in the late evening. So awesome! The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with WIfi. The breakfast is....sparse, but we enjoy Italian fresh bread in the morning too much to worry about that. I'm not sure how it works at other bread and breakfasts around the area, but expect packaged snack cakes, fruit, and tea or coffee for breakfast. An omelette would have been nice, but Bin's kindness made up for any of our worries. A great value!

We stayed at Le Rose di Bi for 5 nights, end of March 2011. We were greatly suprised with the room. The room had lots of space, very nice and a clean bathroom. Good information from our host upon arrival. The room was even furnished with a flat screen tv, a fridge, a very convenient kettle and breakfast snack available for the morning. Free wifi and computer terminal available. Very quiet and safe place to stay, although thin wall with the neighbouring room but sheltered from outside noise.

We thought the neighbourhood was great for cheap ethnic eateries and close to metro, easy access to main attraction and termini station.

We had a fantastic stay there and recommand it! Great value!

We had a large room with a private bathroom, although be aware that toilet paper can not be flushed down the toilet, so it needs to be put into the garbage bin - a little gross, but you can also use the shared bathroom right beside the room, so not a big deal. This was all explained to us by the host upon our arrival, as well as info on using the metro (there is a stop very close to the B&B), where to find good pizza and gelato, and other useful tips!

Banana and sweet cakes provided for breakfast - not much but enough to get you going in the morning.

Overall we were happy with the room, especially considering how cheap it was! The only downside for us was that there was no hot water in the room for about 24 hours during our stay - not sure what happened, but by the next evening it was back in action.

The hostel has a good location and is situated near to the Roma Termini station where it is easiy reached by foot in 10mins. Although the neighbourhood might seem a bit messy, the place and the hostel is very safe. It is also very close to Metro A which makes it easy to visit the places of interest in Rome.

The owner was very friendly and provided great service to travellers like us. She gave details on where to visit in Rome and also introduced us to good eateries around the area. She was very helpful and ensured that everything was ok with the room as each day passed.

The room for two is very big and is very clean. It also has an ensuit toilet that is cleaned on a daily basis and is definitely hygienic and clean. There is also a TV and a computer provided in the accommodation allowing entertainment during leisure time.

Basically, this is a great place to stay! Definitely recommended and two thumbs up for this place!! :)

The hotel has a really good location as its only 10 minutes from Roma Termine and 5 mins from the metro line.

When we arrived we were greeted by Bin who very helpfully gave us a guide to the city. She doesn't speak much English but her pointing and telling us "this is there" did the job. The room was very clean and we were given some snacks and fruit for breakfast which was a nice surprise, there is also a fridge in the corner.

The bed we stayed in was two singles pushed together which was annoying because they kept coming apart. It was a very quite room at night and it was also cool, which was good because Rome is hot!

Our only sticking point was that we had to put our loo roll in the bin next to the toilet or the toilet in a different bathroom down the corridor. This may have been lost in translation but we think we got the jist.

Overall the room was a good size, in a good location within walking distance of some good restaurants and the station from where you can get all the tour buses for the city. The welcome was warm and though it was not perfect it was very good value for what we paid.

I stayed here for 3 nights in Rome with my fiancee on our recent trip across Europe and we were both really glad we finished our trip in such pleasant accommodation.

Don't be fooled by appearances - the location is actually quite safe, and is very close to the main Termini (1 stop away) and 35 metres from a metro stop (Vittorio Emmanuelle). If you want to stay right next to the Colosseum, you're crazy, because it's way too busy - this is a good place to base yourself as it's close to transport and central.

As for the room itself, we had an excellent stay. The combination of airconditioning (10EUR extra but worth it if you can afford it) with double glazed windows meant that even in a heat wave we were beautifully cool and quiet at night. The apartment itself is in a charming old building and is extremely secure (!).

It's an old building, so the plumbing isn't exactly robust, and the internet terminal was a bit slow, but that aside there is much to like about this B&B. Anyway, the room was terrific and very comfortable.

Finally, our hostess Bin was very friendly and helpful. She posted my wallet home to me after I left it on the final day of our trip!
