Stayed here with my wife and 2 kids.Location was ideal.Only 20-25 minutes away (walking) from most attractions (Vatican,Pantheon,Trevi fountain,Spanish Steps etc.). Highly recommended. Pricey but worth it. You are paying for a modern room in an old and charming building. Keep in mind that this is not a traditional hotel since it only has about 6 rooms and the attendant/receptionist leaves around 6 PM. Luckily the family that owns this hotel also owns a restaurant on the ground floor which stays open until 1 AM, and you can go there with any concerns. The morning breakfast that is included is basic, but enough. Overall we loved our stay here. Again, would highly recommend it to others. You just can't beat the location.

Room Tip: Rooms are all in upper floors with no elevator (common in Europe). Avoid if you have bad knees or ca...

Dear Guest,
Reading your review, I find that you captured the essence of staying with us! Although as you say,
“not a traditional hotel”,
I would like to highlight that we do offer all modern comforts and that our location is unbeatable. You state being located in the most trendy area of Rome,
“Location was ideal. Only 20-25 minutes away (walking) from most attractions (Vatican, Pantheon, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps etc.). Highly recommended.”
I would also like to highlight,
“You are paying for a modern room in an old and charming building.”
We are situated in a historical building dating back to the 1400’s and therefore you are being part of the history of Rome! I would also like to highlight to all of our guests and non to attend our famous restaurant located right under the hotel and which has received also from Tripadvisor, “The Certificate of Excellence!”
Also you state,
“Overall we loved our stay here. Again, would highly recommend it to others. You just can't beat the location.”
Thank you for your recommendation and it would be our pleasure to have you with us once again!
Best regards,
Francesca

Right next to Campo dè Fiori, in the heart of Rome! Small hotel, more like a B&B but spotlessly clean and awesome location. Walking distance from Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi fountain and Trastevere. Vatican & the Termini station is just a very short bus ride away.
We stayed there 3 nights, so the breakfast became a bit boring. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lots of places to eat and drink all around.

Dear Guest,
Your title,
“Wonderful location!”
Sums up a fabulous and trendy area which all would like to stay at or at least visit! Campo de’ Fiori today is probably the most desired area in Rome. What also makes this area so desirable is the fact as you state to being a short walk to all major sites in Rome,
“Walking distance from Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi fountain and Trastevere. Vatican & the Termini station is just a very short bus ride away.”
Our staff as you have noticed is always there to help, assist and suggest only the best to all of our guests and as we say, “if you are happy so are we!”.
“Very helpful and friendly staff.”
Hoping to have you with us in the future if you ever decide to return to Rome.
Warmest regards,
Francesca

The location is on a tiny square just off of the larger square 'Campo de Fiori'. This is a B&B, so be prepared for close quarters with other residents and the staff. Our room, just next to the reception, was fairly large, so our family of four wasn't too cramped. We had requested separate beds for our kids via Hotels.com, but the reception indicated they had not received this request and the room with two singles and a double had already been taken by another guest.
The room was clean, as was most of the bathroom, but there was significant mold in one corner of the shower stall. The water pressure was excellent.
The bed had a foam mattress, and this, combined with an excessively overheated room, made for a somewhat uncomfortable night's sleep. We kept the heat turned off, but the floors and walls radiated heat all night, perhaps from the restaurant below. we eventually had to open the window to cool down enough. Since it was winter, we didn't have a problem with noise from below.
The restaurant is owned by the B&B, and the food is very good. Breakfast in the B&B is uninspired (bread, meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cereal), but has enough variety to satisfy.
Christmas and New Year's are high season, but the price (about $250/night) did not represent very good value for the quality of the stay. If a lower rate is available, this is a perfectly fine place to stay in Rome.
The reception was staffed by the very pleasant and helpful Martina.

Room Tip: Two rooms open right into the breakfast area, which might be a bit awkward, or perhaps noisy for lat...

Dear Guest,
Reading your review I did remain a bit surprised to read that you were indicating that the heating was a little bit high. Usually in other hotels, I read that they complain that the heating is too low and they are cold. Just to explain, the heating in Rome has specific rules indicated by the City Health department, and being a hotel we do need to follow them. I would highly recommend to all to always speak with the reception in case of some clarification.
Referring to the rate, well you did come to Rome probably at its’ highest season being under New Year’s and controlling other rates for that period, I do find that we are not high but we are even in comparison to others low.
Thank you for indicating that we are located in a perfect area,
“this is a perfectly fine place to stay in Rome.”
I would just like to indicate that we are within a walking distance (20 minutes to all) to all major sites in Rome such as, The Roman Forum, Colosseo, Piazza Navona, The Trevi Fountain etc…
Our reception takes pride in all that they do and are always there to suggest only the best and assist to the max all that stay with us.
Warmest regards,
Francesca

I had an extremely unpleasant experience in this pension house, probably because the owner was absent. My friend, who had booked via the hotel website, was just informed that he would not stay in the hotel itself but in an apartment 15 minutes outside the centre of town. It was clearly a case of a double booking. The father of the owner became very (verbally) aggressive when we complained and said that the reason we wanted to stay in this hotel, was the very fact that it is so central. No apology was offered, nor a refund, just rage and a totally rude attitude, making us feel like criminals. My friend, who is a lawyer, will take legal action. Thankfully a nearby hotel helped him out and found him a room very nearby (for less). I will never stay in this hotel again, although the rooms were clean and the young staff were friendly.

Room Tip: Be very careful if you book through their website and doublecheck with them that you REALLY have a r...

This B&B is located in the Campo de Fiori section of Rome. You can walk out the building and be in the heart of Rome. It is not close to the metro, but you can get anywhere by walking. There is also a taxi stand a few streets away and a main bus station about six streets away. The staff is helpful, the rooms are small but adequate and very clean. The window in my room opened to the street, which was quite noisy at night, but once I closed the window I didn't notice the noise.

Stayed here with my 5 sisters in April 2012. Wonderful B&B just off Campo de' Fiori. The staff was fabulous. The rooms are comfortable. Yes, the bathrooms, especially the showers, are somewhat small, but this is Old Rome. There is no elevator, but the spiral staircase is beautiful. It can be noisy at night, but that's part of the wonderful atmosphere of this place. We slept with our windows open at night just to hear the street noise below. We could see into Campo de' Fiori from the windows. Fun to watch it transform from the nightlife to a market. Breakfast was provided and quite good. Hope to go back one day.

My husband and I spent 5 nights here, excellent location, 10 min walk from Vatican and 10 mins from Navona square. Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity and an excellent coffee stop round the corner - Nero.
This is a pension/B&B not a hotel, so it is small and part of a larger building where people live, and some of the resident neighbours were noisy and this noise amplified up through the central space of the building, but other than that it was quiet. Our bed was very comfortable and the room spacious enough, bathroom was small but well appointed. Natasha was our host - very friendly and helpful and she recommended some good restaurants. Breakfast was the same everyday - croissant, coffee, cold meats and pastries, so its no good if you are wheat or gluten free and it became boring after a couple of days. No other complaints though and we'd stay here again.
