My wife and I spent one night here after flying in from Greece before we caught the train to Florence. Ten minute walk from the Termini train station, and approx. 30 minute walk to the Colosseum.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast served in the morning was fresh, and had many options.

I would stay here next time we return to Rome.

The Crosti Hotel was exactly what we expected for an Italian Hotel. Small and quaint. There is one person at the front desk. They were helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. The Hotel is a 10 min walk to the Metro station. There are lots of restaurants in the area. We did walk back from the main Roman sites one evening and it took about 25 min’s. They have a breakfast, good but nothing great. We had just one room issue. Our AC worked for the first couple days then stopped on the last day. We called the front desk and he say he would turn it on from there. It did go on but we couldn’t control it from our thermostat

There's nothing amazing or out of the ordinary that comes to mind when I think of this hotel. Yes it is close to the Train Station and close to the best Gelatario in Italy (according to me at least). The room we got on arrival on the ground floor was small and in a corner. However, the hotel did manage to shift us to a room on the higher floor which was much better. Overall, considering the fact that, you dont spend time in your hotel in Rome other than sleeping and in the morning it was okay. The breakfast was down right poor. I cant even bring myself to call it average. Overall, it was an average stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floor. Avoid 100 and 101 completely.

What a pleasure doing Rome on our own.

Took the Leonardo Express from Fiumicino Airport; it was inexpensive and we arrived at Rome Terminii within half an hour. We could walk to the Crosti Hotel as it was in the vicinity and easy to find on the road map.
The foyer was nicely furnished and we were immediately welcomed and made to feel welcome.

The elevator was one of those old cage-type and it took a minute or so to the second floor.

We were very impressed with the room and bathroom.

The breakfast in the downstairs dining room was the best continental I had experienced in europe.

We spent three nights at the Crosti and could not have been more satisfied. At 80 Euro per day, the rate was a gift.

We can highly recommend the Crosti Hotel to any visitor to Rome

Room Tip: Cant speak for other rooms. Our room was around the corner from the lift on the second floor and we...

Couldn't fault it. Close to the train station and very efficient. Some reviews having preconceptions about nearby establishments, they are either shut down or very quiet so not an issue. We had 3 nights there and not a sound. Lots of nice eateries nearby. Continental breakfast was lovely and plenty, coffee strong just as we like it. Friendly and a lovely lady serving, please tip her as we did :) Stayed in May though, aircon would be wholly insufficient during summer months.

We stayed her for 5 nights in late April 2014 as part of a "Citybreak" break. The location is good, the room (we had 202) was basic but clean and serviced every day but the major disappointment was the breakfast. Don't misunderstand me, we were not expecting a "Full English" fry up, in fact we love Italy and it's meals but the breakfasts were dull and uninspiring. The coffee was thin almost to the point of insipid and when, in desperation I tried a tea it was as weak as anything. The fruit salad and glazed pear were far too sweet (syrupy) and the croissants were in short supply and sweet. In the end we went for breakfast to a small coffee shop up the road, it was money well spent! To balance the above the people on the reception desk were very helpful and there are several good but reasonably priced restaurants within a few minutes walk.

We stayed in Rome for 4 nights here at the Crosti, and we had a wonderful experience! Location was great on a quiet street with many sites within walking distance. We often walked to the nearby Porta Pia area instead of in the direction of Republica and Termini in order to find quieter restaurants. This hotel was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was delicious with a large selection of cheese, pastries and cereals. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were very patient with me while I fumbled over my newly-learned Italian.

The only negative was the noise. We did not have a street-facing room, but the courtyard had some noisy neighbors from the apartments shouting into the night. We liked to sleep with the window open, but even with it closed, the neighbors were quite loud. They sounded like they were having a lot of fun, though!

Crosti will be our number 1 choice of accommodations from now on when we travel to Rome.
