Pricey place for a coffee due to its location. It's been there since ages and looks it. Small portions.

If you choose to go to this cafe, you should be prepared to pay a huge overprice for average coffee and cake.
Still you should try it because you will experience going into a time warp where time has stopped 100 years or more ago.
Buffalo Bill was here on his European tour years ago.
The atmosphere is extremely snobbish - the tailcoatdressed waiters hardly notice you and the chairs are very uncomfortable.
Still try it ONCE. You may regret it but never forget it!

There is so much history here you can feel it. Since 1760 they have time to perfect the art of fine service with fantastic Cafe.
I keep coming back when ever i am in town.
Great for friends, family and business meetings with colleagues.

We entered the caffe very early in the morning and were the first customers to sit down in the rooms (Customers can be served Italian style, standing up in the entrance of the caffe).
With no other tourists in the caffe, we could appreciate the beautiful luxury and grandour of the place without feeling it was too touristy or tacky. I took the time to explore all the rooms and have taken photos that I have attached. When I came upon the photo of Buffalo Bill and his Indian friends sitting in a chair and table quite like the one we had, I truly felt that I was interacting within a historical monument. The walls were more densely decorated than museums and once a tasted my latte macciato, I was hooked. Beware, such excellent coffee and ambiance does not come cheaply: the coffee was €10, but I believe it was worth it
