“Great room and service, but a little far from the attractions and good restaurants”
Reviewed 11 May 2011

My wife & I stayed in Rome for three days and used this as our home base. We stayed in the suite b/c all of the other rooms were booked (we inadvertently picked the weekend of the beatification of the Pope JPII). Our comments are:
- Has a bed & breakfast feel to it b/c it only has five rooms. They bring your continental breakfast to your room in the morning, so we never even saw any other guests
- This is a great place if you need your sleep. They have blackout curtains and thick windows, so you don't hear the noise from the street (except for the occassional ambulance). In addition, my wife has a bad back and she loved the bed here
- It has a subway stop right next to it, so we used that to go to the Forums and Vatican. It was very convenient for getting to the Roma Termini for our next segment of our trip as well
- There are many brand specific stores nearby (Burberry, Tumi, etc.) if you're there to shop, but there aren't many historical sites within easy walking distance other than the Spanish Steps and the Galleria Borghese. Also, we were not very impressed by most of the local restaurants - the food was good at most, but nothing spectacular for the price

We liked the hotel and staff and would recommend it.

Very highly recommended. Perfect location, with easy access by metro. Nearby Piazza del Popolo, excellent restaurants, walking distance to Vatican and most Rome sites including Pantheon and Fountain of Trevi. Excellent free breakfast, brought to the room, room service style. Very romantic. Quiet room, well-decorated, comfortable bed. Excellent bathroom and shower area. Absolutely lovely stay. Considering that most places we looked were at least 140 euros, the extra was worth it to stay at such a convenient, beautiful, romantic, comfortable, clean and quiet place. Ooh and don't forget the free wifi!

Stayed at Casa Montani for three nights for a weekend break to Rome.

Arrived in Rome, Casa Montani had booked a transfer for us, after a small hitch we were on our way. It is about a 40 minute transfer from the airport to Casa Montani. On arrival welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff. Room wasn't massive but just right for what we wanted, tastefully decorated and to a very high standard. All the normal things you would expect to find in a high end hotel, sky tv, safe and minibar etc. The bed was huge!!

Giuseppe was very friendly and helpful and staff are on hand to help with anything they can. Although the town house is just off the main piazza, noise is minimal as windows are sound proofed. Excellent location and all major attractions are walkable.

Overall would stay at Casa Montani again, was an excellent stay and thank you to all the staff.

Not sure I should talk this up otherwise when next we book it will be full. Stayed for 4 nights found the location excellent apart from the transfers to and from airport did not need any public transport walked everywhere with a 5 year old! Breakfast was fresh and delicious served in the room. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable decoration was modern but still warm. Would stay agin in a heart beat!

My partner and I just returned from Rome andwe we stayed at Casa Montani for 2 nights.
This was our last stop before we headed home, we stayed in the Suite #5 and there was nothing to complain about, everything was "perfect and Guipesse was very kind and helpful before and when we arrived. Our bed was king size, very comfortable and the room was a generous size also all windows are double glazed to it is quiet. The location was central and in walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, the metro was just outside the accommodation front door and takes you directly to the Vatican or beyond. Breakfast was served in our room daily and if we needed anything the staff were only to happy to help or advise, we will definitely be staying here again! Grazie

Learned about hotel by Trip Advisor. Excellent choice. Located just across the street from Piazzo Poppolo and steps away from metro. Charming place with beautiful and spacious rooms. Very clean and the staff is very attentive and courteous. Small, so if going on high season it is important to book in advance. I will definetely recommend and if I go back to Rome, this will be the place to be at.
