“Ottimo”

Excellent!!!Excellent!!!Excellent!!! Traditional food really well executed. The price is ok considering the quality, specially to Rome that is full of tourist traps. Taste the lasagna or tagliatelle with beef tomato sauce. Tiramisu is a good choice too.

“Old and famouise in Rome”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

Famous restaurant located in Piazza el Popolo. The place to see and bee seen! The food is bad, the service is worse (unless you are somebody in Rome), but the location is great if you can live with the traffic.

“Lovely famous restaurant,but expensive”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

we were invited to a lovely restaurants where some of the Italian glitterati sometimes meet. we were told no one famous was there that night. sigh.
the food is lovely and very different. the service was impeccable and good but not the family friendly way . it was more the classy restaurant , good waiter service.
prices were , well , expensive. i think its more of a place to be seen than to be enjoying a great meal.
i had starters and a main course. which was just enough by English standards. but as i have a healthy appetite, the two course left me a bit short on the quantity. but i didnt dare order anymore as it was costing the host an arm and a leg .
but if i was paying for the meal i would not have selected this place. i had a much better time with service, quantity and quality of food at Maranega for half the price.

“Good experience, slightly pricey”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

The owner of our vacation rental suggested this restaurant and made us the reservation. Reservations are highly recommended, as we saw people being turned away. I think this restaurant rests a bit on its name, but we quite enjoyed it. The food was good and we thought the service quite friendly. Yes, it is more expensive than similar restaurants in the area, and the portions are smaller, but we knew this going in. For the four of us, it was almost 200 Euros for a bottle of wine, a bottle of water, 2 apps, 2 pastas, 2 secondi, and 2 desserts. While I don't necessarily know if I would return for a second visit, we really enjoyed our meal and had fun people watching. If you are looking for mind-blowing food, this is probably not the place. But the food is good quality and traditional, and you will enjoy a lovely view of the plaza and a fun European "scene".

“Great pasta”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

This is a classy, and classical, Roman destination. The pasta we started with was spectacular, but the costoletta alla milanese was beaten too thin, and was a bit dry.
