We found this resturant the first night of our stay in Rome. We were tired and hungry and grateful to have found a resturant near to our hotel. The first night the food was great, and we ate the bread that was delivered with gusto. We got charged for the bread - that's ok - we ate it - so no worries there. But then, the following night we said we didn't require the bread and asked them to remove it. The young waiter took it away but we noticed that the older waiter was questioning him about it. So when it was delivered to our table a second time - again we said we didn't need it. As we began to eat our first course the waiter came back and urged us to "try the breadsticks" with the starters. Again we declined. The bill arrived with an extra 5 euros for the bread. Now to me, that's naughty. We said twice we didn't want it and twice they ignored us. We decided to pay the extra but left no tip..........and guess what?.........the next night we took a bus into town rather than eat there again! So listen up guys - you lost out on another 70 to 90 Euros for the sake of 5. We would have returned but realised that you had us as mugs despite us ordering a decent amount of food and drink the first two nights. Ripping customers off with a basket of stale bread is not the way to go. Shame on you.
