Dolci sempre fatti in casa. Molto buona la carta dei vini; non mancano bianco e rosso della casa. Il locale è stato inaugurato nel 1976: lo staff proviene dalle esperienze di Ciceruacchio e Meo Patacca.

“Good typical food and good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014

On Sunday (Eastern), me and my boyfriend (following a friend's suggestion) decided to eat in this restaurant and we remained pleasantly surprised. We reserved a table at 8 o'clock. The services was really good (waiters are willing to explain typical dishes) and the location typical and rustic (garlic hanging on walls). We ate pasta cacio e pepe, amatriciana and abbacchio. After that, we also share a pizza since it had a tempting aspect. Our exceptions were complexly satisfied. We also drank home-wine and it was pretty good. At the end we payed around 60 euros. I suggest to go and try this place for sure!

“Awful food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

I chose this hotel because of other reviewers comments and ignored the Aussie reviewer who said he cooked better at home. How right he was. It felt like we were eating in a cave, not atmospheric but claustrophobic and food was poor.

“Very nice trattoria - highly recommended”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2014

We had dinner here on 24th and 26th March 2014, having been recommended by our hotel to go there. On both occasions we felt very welcome as soon as we stepped inside. All the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and efficient. The restaurant is very busy, with locals (always a good sign) and with visitors. The first night my wife had the lamb (a local speciality) and I had the pork. Both dishes were very good (if slightly too salty for us - but not a big deal). The second night we both had scaloppine limone, which was excellent. For pudding we ate pana cotta and tiramisu, both of which were really good. The bill was extremely reasonable. In summary, this is a very nice little restaurant, with great staff and very good food. You should try it!

“A Recommendation that lived up to the hype.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2014 via mobile

Want a busy, basic good food, typical old fashioned Trattoria in Trastevere than here is your place. A very busy place that had a stream of people, locals and tourists, alike coming in all through the evening. Food was what you would expect but was well cooked and nicely presented. Wine was fine from v.reasonable house to €30 upper limit. Nice place to people watch and whilst there was always a demand for your table you never felt pressurised to leave.

“Great value!”

Been here on march 2014. ?34 for two people with antipasti, primo piatto and wine for two.

Italian decor, really busy and packed with locals. Food was great and the bill surprisingly low.
